The creation of the Fable Farm Stage will be another step toward our goal of building community through art and agriculture.

About Fable Farm Fable Farm is an organic farm located in Barnard, Vermont in the Upper Valley Region of the Green Mountains. During the growing season, Fable Farm cultivates a mosaic of farmland peppered throughout the hillside. Every week the farm hosts a potluck where community members come together to pickup their vegetables, enjoy potluck food, and listen to live music. Fablefarm.org

About the Outdoor Theatre If funded, the stage will bring to life our vision of a venue that hosts multiple performances a year. A space where local and visiting artists and art organizations alike can share their stories in the backyard of our quaint farmhouse.

Why we are asking for your backing Building a stage and outfitting the venue to host an audience requires a substantial amount of materials. We have set a minimum financial goal of $2,000 but hope we will far exceed this goal to cover the items listed below:

  • Build a modular outdoor stage which will be used for Sea Marks and many more performances in the future.
  • Purchase a professional quality 40x60 foot tent
  • Purchase basic props and set pieces to be used in Sea Marks and other performances in the future.
  • Outfit the venue with decor and eatery for 100+ people.

The First Performance We have already begun rehearsing for our first slated production: Sea Marks by Gardner McKay. The actors rehearse on the farm, letting the soil, sun, and plants inform their artistic process while growing the food that will then be served on the nights of the performance.

Sea Marks dates:
