First of all I want to thank you all.  When I started all this I had a hard time imagining who in the world was going to support this, but you have and I am grateful.  And I definitely need to shout some special thanks from the rooftops, especially to Kickstarter, Sundance Institute, Gael Garcia Bernal, Morelia Film Festival, Ambulante Film Festival, the Sydney Latin American Film Festival and Videódromo for having used their platforms to get word out. 

And now we have only 10 days left. In this update I want to ask for your help. I promise it’s easy and it might even be a little fun. 

Tomorrow: Wednesday, July 20, I will try, with your help to see how many people in the world I can find to give just One Single Dollar to "Death in Arizona".  And I thought we could play around with this message:

You could post it anywhere, on Twitter, Facebook, on Tumblr, Blogs, written in chalk on the sidewalk, in graffiti, in the fog on the window, anywhere. So I bet we could convince one person to give a buck for love.  I’m going to work all day tomorrow to find 300 people who will join me with one dollar. Please help me convince 1 person. Maybe just sharing this project can give someone a different insight to lost love.

Primero que nada quiero darles las gracias a todos. Cuando comencé esto me costaba trabajo imaginar quién iba a apoyar este proyecto pero ustedes lo han hecho y estoy profundamente agradecido. Quiero darle unas sinceras gracias a Kickstarter, Sundance Institute, Gael García Bernal, El Festival de Morelia, Ambulante, El Festival Latinoamericano de Sydney y al Videódromo por usar sus plataformas para difundir este proyecto.

Solo quedan 10 días. En esta ocasión quiero pedirles su ayuda. Les prometo que será fácil y posiblemente algo divertido.

Mañana: Miercoles, 20 de Julio, Voy a tratar con tu ayuda de ver cuánta gente en el mundo puedo encontrar que de UN DOLAR a este proyecto. Y se me ocurría que podíamos jugar con esta línea:

    I plan to premiere the film at a US Film Festival sometime next year. When I do, you will receive all of the rewards above plus I will reserve 2 tickets for you to the first screening of the film, guaranteed no matter where it plays. I would also like to invite you to my home in Oaxaca or Bolivia or Arizona so I may cook you one of three special dinners, get drunk with you, and talk about anything that inspires us. The dinners will be announced with the premiere details. No travel expenses can be included, but many hugs come at this level too to make you feel like it was worth it.
