Howdy Lies Grown-ups Told Me supporters!

I am so incredibly happy to announce that, after months of recruiting, coaxing, badgering and bribing, our submission deadline came and we received more submissions than we could've dreamed of! There was a lot of intense discussion between me, Jen and Caitlin and some really tough decisions were made BUT, we do indeed now have a final lineup! I am pleased to announce that Lies Grown-ups Told Me will feature the talents of superstar cartoonists:

Hey gang! A huge HUGE thank you for helping us successfully fund Lies Grown-ups Told Me! We more than doubled our funding goal which means we will be able to afford really snazzy printing and we'll be able to cover the costs of debuting the book at SPX 2011 in September!

Right now Jen, Caitlin and I are focusing most of our energy on submissions- some really great pieces have already come in and we can't wait to see what this next round of recruiting brings!

We're hoping to have all submissions in by July 1st so that we can go into production and be print ready by the beginning of August. The books should be hot off the presses the first week of September, at which point we'll be able to ship all you wonderful WONDERFUL supporters your rewards! We'll be posting updates and photos and sample pages as we go so please keep checking back with us to see our progress!

Again, thank you all so much for a tremendous show of support, we can't wait to wow you with the anthology!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to all of our backers!!! I think you guys just set some sort of super-human fundraising record: goal met within 24 hours of launching! We're ecstatic, to say the least!

We're going to keep pledging open until April 22nd so, no one's missed their opportunity to support us and get in on the killer rewards! Any amount we raise over our original goal will allow us to consider snazzier design options for the anthology AND help us pay some of the transportation costs of getting to SPX in September.

Once pledging closes in April, we'll be asking you guys for your contact info so that we can get your rewards to you.
