Update #14: Thanks to everyone who came out to support this project
Unfortunately we didn't manage to reach our goal but it was amazing to see such a strong community of support for my idea. I really appreciate everyone's time and enthusiasm in regards to this project.
Flux will still be creating a work shop and I will still be working to give back to the community that has given so much for me. Update #13: New Rewards and less than a week left!
In order to inspire some more pledges I am adding the black and gray japanese maple tee for a pledge of just thirty(in men's and women's sizes) and also a simple olive cuff for only twenty dollars! Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far! I just looked at an amazing space in Brooklyn that would be big enough to do everything I want to do(and more). It could use a little work though and that's where kickstarter comes in! Support this project and give yourself a space to learn in.

Update #11: another reward!

I grew up north of the Adirondacks in New York state, learning the basics of construction and carpentry from my father. I moved to NYC in 2000 to study painting at Pratt Art Institute and ended up transferring to The Cooper Union to finish my degree in fine art and design.
SInce 2004 I have had the incredible good fortune to start a business that allows me to make things for a living. Flux started as mainly tshirts but quickly moved into bags, wallets, shoes, and jewelry as I started exploring different types of production. Currently I have a studio in Fort Greene where you can find me most days and a regular spot at the Brooklyn Flea where you can check out everything that's new each week.
