Update #22: Greetings Everyone and a Conclusion to the Lilith journey!

Posted on May 25, 2011

We have finally reached the point of completion for this project, thanks to your amazing support.

Our packets are all packed and shipped (some packets just went out today). Please alert us if you don’t receive your packets within 2 weeks and we will track down your rewards.

We’re excited to get your feedback, so let us know what you think when you have a chance to view the film!

In other news, I (Erin) just returned from the Cheyenne International Film Festival where Lilith was screened in the shorts program. I was privileged to have had the opportunity to do both a talk back after the film, as well as be on a panel of Women Filmmakers. Below is a photo of the wonderful and talented women on this panel.

Liltih has two more screenings coming up in Colorado.

One will be in the historic town of Gold Hill, July 1st. We will be having a dinner party in the hotel bar where we shot one of the first scenes. The film will be followed with an evening of live music and dance. The second screening will be at the Independent Women of Film Festival at the Bug Theatre in Denver. IWFF is happening July 19th ~ 21st. Come out and participate if you are able.

So what's next for Rock Rose?

We are producing a film festival in September called LADmatters (Life And Death Matters). This Colorado-based, international festival celebrates and explores the journey through life via film, theatre, and educational programming. For more information on LADmatters please visit www.ladmatters.com you can also find us on twitter and facebook by clicking the links.

Rock Rose has also started a monthly newsletter. This is a local project, and we are really excited about having it launched! We are honored to have three talented columnists who will be writing about local actors, plays, movies, and more! These articles will be archived on the website, so incase you happen to be coming to Colorado you can check out what's going on here in the local arts scene.

This fall, after LADmatters, Erin will finally be getting to the edit of the long awaited documentary, Mercury Arising.

And for some really exciting news: Rock Rose is on the look out for scripts! Something that Erin can act in!!!! Yay for being in front of the camera!!! It is our goal to shoot one short film before this winter and then go into preproduction on a feature length film early 2012. Keep checking in with us for progress updates.

True to our usual form, we are not only focusing on our own endeavors, here are some upcoming projects outside Rock Rose to keep your eyes out for that Erin, Jesse and/or Rock Rose Entertainment will be involved with:

Into The Bardo

Off The Record

Face 2 Face

That’s it for now folks! This is the end of the Lilith book. But don't you worry, Rock Rose Entertainment will be writing many more stories.

It has truly been a joy and a blessing to have had your participation and encouragement with Lilith. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

So much love and gratitude,

Erin and Jesse and the entire cast and crew of Lilith

Update #21: Checkin In

Posted on April 11, 2011

Greetings Lovely People,

We here at Rock Rose Entertainment wanted to give you an update on what has been going on with us, (aside from the strange Colorado weather literally from sunny and 78 to 31 and hailing).

What is happening with Lilith?

The final bits of your packets will be shipping out hopefully before the end of this month. Hurrah!! We are putting the final touches on the artwork for the DVD cover and checking and rechecking the final credits.... God forbid that one of your names somehow doesn't end up in the credits!!!

Lilith will be screening at a couple up coming festivals, if you are nearby, please come see us.

The Logan Art and Film Festival in Russellville, KY on April 30th

The Cheyenne International Film Festival in Cheyenne Wyoming from May 19th through the 22nd

We will also be doing a couple of screening here in Colorado in the next couple of months. One at the Bug Theatre in Denver (date TBD) and one in the town of Gold Hill which is where Lilith was shot.

If you can make it out for this event it is going to be quite special. The town of Gold Hill, which is pretty much only a block long, is going to host an outdoor screening on Friday, July 1st. The evening will start with a dinner at the Gold Hill Inn (where we shot the bar scene) followed by the screening and then drinks and live music! Sounds like a fun night to me!!

On other Rock Rose Business:

We recently partnered with local company Natural Transitions to created a film festival called LADmatters. Our mission is to explore matters of Life And Death through film. We already have over 70 films submitted!! One of the exciting things about this festival is its educational outreach program. We are going to accompany the films with educational programs, things from aging to life transitions, advanced directives, and health. The festival will run September 1st through the 4th 2011. For more information check out our website (still under construction) www.ladmatters.com and our facebook page Life And Death Matters Film Festival.

Thats it for now from us. More to come soon.

Sending you all so much love and gratitude,

Erin and Jesse,

Rock Rose Entertainment
