About this project
About the Film:
Lilith is the pseudinym of a Fortune Teller who goes by the name of Charlotte.
To escape the civil war and to avoid unnecessary attention from authorities, Charlotte and her companion, a confederate deserter named Rubin, have taken refuge in a small town on the foothills of the Rockie mountains. Just when Charlotte and Rubin believe they are safe from the outside world, A Lieutenant in the confederate armed forces picks up their trail and notices that whatever town Rubin and Charlotte pass through, there seem to be mysterious disappearances.
When the Lieutenant finally catches up with the traveling duo, he discovers that his would-be prisoners are not the typical phony tricksters and deserters he's made them out to be.
Who we are:
Rock Rose Entertainment is a collaboration between two ardent visionaries, who came together with complementing talents and a mutual ambition to create a brand of entertainment that offers a genuine depth, contrasting the typical generic forms of mass entertainment in todays market.
The Founders of Rock Rose and Directors of the film Lilith are Erin Kelly & Jesse McDonald. Before forming their own independent film company in 2009, they individually freelanced in Film and TV for 10 years. Jesse McDonald's credits include various indie films, commercials and reality shows, such as The Amazing Race on CBS. Erin Kelly is a director/actress and is most known for her role as the young Annabelle in the cult classic film "Loving Annabelle." Our Goals for Lilith:
This is the first scripted film for Rock Rose Entertainment and as such, we intend to enter it into a number of national and international film festivals. Our goal is to garner credit and recognition for Lilith through the festival circuit and thereby build our portfolio as independent filmmakers. We aim to use the film as a tool to petition potential investors to assist with the funding of our other feature length projects.
This is where you can help.
What the Funds are for:
Thanks to our dear friend Diane, the film Lilith has already been shot. We have a few pick/up scenes and some ADR (Automated dialogue replacement) work left, but the focus now is on the edit and festival submissions.
With your generous support, we will use the funds for the following:
- Edit
- Soundtrack
- 2 Days of pick up shots
- Additional crew
- Equipment Rentals
- Festival Submissions
Edit Information:
Erin and Jesse are currently living and developing projects in Boulder, CO and have the honor of teaming up with fellow filmmaker Patrick Selvage, who will be conducting the majority of the final edit. Please check out Patrick's website to see some of his work. http://www.patrickcoeselvage.com/
In conclusion, we would like to thank all of you for taking the time to read this and view our campaign video. This platform was just recently introduced to us, and we are very optimistic about the possibilities of achieving our funding goal within the time allotted.
The film is now in your hands. Together we can make this project a reality. Your contribution, no matter how much, will enable our small indie company to continue to make films that aim to inspire and enlighten all our lives.
We're honored to have you participate in the filmmaking process with us and look forward to meeting many of you very soon.
Love & Gratitude
