Join freelance writer Rachel Northrop on January 10th in NYC to view photos and taste Costa Rica coffees from her travels

Faces and Flavors: Costa Rican Photo Exhibition and Coffee Tasting will take place on Thursday, January 10th from 6-9pm at Space on White at 81 White Street in Lower Manhattan. Admission is $5 and open to the public.

There will be lots of Costa Rican coffee to taste, prepared right in front of you in the traditional chorreado pour-over method. There will be plenty of treats to snack and stories of the people, places, and lives behind Costa Rican Coffee. All prints will be for sale, cash only.

Why?

Because I'm writing and compiling a book, When Coffee Speaks, that digs into the stories of the people, places, and lives intertwined in coffee. I've spent the last 4 months living in Costa Rica talking with (and often working alongside) coffee growers, pickers, processors, traders, exporters, roasters, and baristas. And I want to share what I've seen, smelled, tasted, heard, done, and learned. 

Coffee exists in all six senses. Come put them all to the test and experience the first chapter of the story during my week in NYC before I continue my journey in Panama and Colombia.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

The only risk to Faces and Flavors is that people might not show up; and only YOU can make sure that doesn't happen!

I have a backpack full of Costa Rican coffees from micromills, co-ops, and families all across the country.

I have a computer and a backup cloud bursting with photos from my experiences.

I have a space for the event and people to help me pour coffee.

All it needs to be a success is your vested interest!
