About this project
What is The Abaddon?
The Abaddon is a bi weekly web comic series, which started in January 2011. The comic tells the story of Ter, who finds himself trapped in a bizarre apartment with a group of ill matched roommates. He quickly discovers his new home is really strange type of prison - an ornate puzzle he needs to solve in order to escape. Ter also realizes that he is missing a crucial part of his memory and identity and decides he must try and uncover his obscure past.

Why did I create it?
I've always wanted to make a comic in which I could draw and write almost anything without restrictions - The Abaddon turned out to be that comic. Loosely based on Jean Paul Sartre's existential play 'No Exit' - The Abaddon became a place where I could push characters to the extreme and experiment with a new kind of narrative. The work on Part I of The Abaddon took more than a year and I had to use every free moment between illustration projects to work on the comic.
The launch of The Abaddon was a leap of faith for me, I didn't know if readers would accept it - but it ended up being a success! with over five thousand readers a month, and numerous features in prominent blogs podcasts and publications, including io9, Robot 6 and many others.
Where YOU Come In
In this Kickstarter campaign I'm asking you to help out by providing support for the creation of part II of the comic. I'm hoping that the pledges from this campaign will allow me to take some time off from commercial projects and work exclusively on The Abaddon, giving this graphic novel its due attention! By providing support to the comic you not only help guarentee that there will be a sequel, you become an active part of the comic by funding it! Part II will be even better than part one, with numerous new characters and mind boggling scenarios. Many questions will be answered, including: what is The Abaddon? who Ter really is? and why does Bet have a symbol of a fly on her behind?

If you've been reading and enjoying The Abaddon this is you're chance to get involved and help out. If this is the first time you're hearing of the comic - go, give it a read. There's lots of prizes to pledgers, including the option of being drawn in as a character into the comic! so check it out.

Thanks for reading, and hope you can find your way out...
