NORTHMARK: Hour of the Wolf

Hour of the Wolf is a card-based RPG, which has been in development for the past two years. Choose to become a mighty warrior, a cunning mage or a powerful druid as you fight for glory and survival in arena style combat. Explore the corners of the kingdom from fiery deserts to deep forests, cold mountain peaks, and take part in the journey to the kingdoms of the Elves and Dwarves.

The game begins with an attempt to kill the Lord of the Northmark castle. Throughout the game, you shall discover many different areas of the kingdom and get to discover their complex relationships to central Northmark.

Northmark bears some similarities to other games of the "battle-card" genre, yet it successfully manages to differentiate itself by being a full-scale RPG with a focus on a strong story. Its unique battle-card system further emphasizes the original grand vision of a thriving Northmark region. As a player, you shall adventure across the fantasy lands of Northmark with its varied locations - Vibrant cities, Deep dark woods, Deserted lost ruins and the Ancient mystic sites sacred to the Druids and Elves.

The game is inspired by one of the best role-playing games - Betrayal at Krondor. We love this game from the depth of our hearts and wanted to draw on some of its strengths (namely the intriguing story-telling) to enhance the dynamics of our game.

Additionally, we would love to port the game with exclusive features for iPhone / iPad / Mac, since we feel it is a great platform for this game!

COMBAT:

While playing the game, you will acquire new cards and experience points that are utilized during combat encounters. During combat, you choose a card from the deck of cards (in the bottom window) and depending on the category of the card (Defensive or Offensive), you can use it either on yourself (Defensive) or on an enemy (Offensive). Alternatively, you can use the Special skills cards, giving you greater strength, magic or defense. Player is able to use max. 4 defensive cards for each character during a combat and all cards are time limited.

CARDS:

Cards present all characters and skills in the game. Every character has own card with different skills, abilities, power a personality. There are also other type of cards which presents magic, health, strength, speed etc. , which makes your characters stronger.
