That is awesome news and I am happy to have been able to help this project...I wish you all great success on the shoot and look grateful ahead for our viewing pleasure!
It's fun to see that this project has been funded by people from all the world, given what places are noted with the names of the backers. It's been exciting to watch this project be funded, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly. Wishing you all the best, Erik! Now let the hard work begin! :)
Hey Galadriel! I found the FB fan page and answered directly in the comment thread--thanks for making me aware (I didn't even know there WAS an Anthony Tyler Quinn Fan Club page!). For everyone else who might be interested, contact me directly about making a donation after our Kickstarter deadline passes and I'll make arrangements for accepting donations as late as possible and still provide the appropriate incentives. Thanks!
Someone on the Anthony Tyler Quinn Fan Club FaceBook page posts the following question that others might want to know the answer to: "They list a closing date, I will not be able to donate until afterwards; will there still be a way to do?"
anything to help my friend Doug out! Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!
Eeeep! I just read the graphic novel bit! Now I am even more excited!!!
Lets make it happen : )
Thank you, Galadriel! Here's what we'll do with any money raised over our $7,500 goal:
1.) Put it right into the test scene. However, if we receive more than we need to make the best test scene possible, we'll...
2.) Put the excess money into the production of our graphic novel. The GN will be a great way to help expand our fan base and attract investor attention.
Ok, I'm working on rounding up some money, and a potential backer wants to know what happens if you get more thant he $7,500 pledge. Will that go into the actual movie, help make the "short" better, or what? Thanks.
My prayers continue to be with you. Let's see what God has for this project!
This sounds like a wonderful movie-in-the-making! Our pledge and prayers are with you as you move forward...God bless abundantly!
Have you considered having an official FaceBook page, so people can "Like" it? That might help you get the word out. There is a movie that is having its premier showing in Atlanta and Boston the end of the month that was done independently called Sahkanaga that made a FaceBook "Group", and now has an official FaceBook "Movie" page, when they did their filming, and it worked out really well. They filmed it on location in Chickamauga, Georgia, since it is a story based on that incident with the Tri-State Crematium where they were just dumping the bodies and not cremating them. The whole town (I have some cousins there the reason I know) came around them and helped out. They used the FaceBook page to let their needs be known. Just a thought.
Galadriel, I'll be praying that God rewards your faithfulness. Isn't Tony great?!
Ok, I'm in. Thanks Erik. A friend of mine posted on FaceBook that she would take a look and consider donating too. I'm right there with you. I hope you are able to make a real, A rate film out of this. And I'm so excited that you chose such a great actor for the lead position. :)
Wish I could donate a full $1,000, but my pledge is actually a stretch for my budget. I figured if I was going to pray that Tony get good acting jobs where he could be best used by the Lord, I ought to put my support behind my prayers. So I've added you all to my prayer list. I think your idea is so COOL!!!
Galadriel, you're correct: if you pledge money now, Kickstarter will send you to an Amazon payments page and your payment information will be saved. If we meet our goal by May 10th your card will be charged at that time. If we don't make our goal by the deadline, you won't be charged. It's a pretty cool system.
So how does this work? If I pledge, and you don't get the $7,500, I don't owe you anything, but if you do, you take the money from my credit card account? Does that happen in May?
Wishing you all the best.
Thank you Mrs. Dunlap! I've had my eyes on Ryan for a part since the script was completed.
I MIGHT BE A "LITTLE" PREGIDOUS BUT I THINK RYAN WOULD ALSO BE A WONDERFUL CAST MEMEMBER. PRAYING FOR YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS PROJECT.
Thanks Ryan, we wouldn't be where we are without you!
Best of luck! Dougie and Tony are great guys to work with and I'd really love to see this happen!
