Sparrow Songs is a project in which filmmaker Alex Jablonski and cinematographer Michael Totten make and release one short doc a month, every month, for one year.
Born in San Francisco, Alex graduated with a degree in English Literature from Kenyon College and recently finished an MFA in Film at UCLA. He began his career in New York as at 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks as an assistant editor for Spike Lee. Alex's fiction and documentary work has screened at numerous festivals and museums nationwide including Tribeca, Florida, Full Frame, MassMOCA and the Boston Institute for Contemporary Art.
Michael grew up in Colorado and has worked as a cinematographer on a number of notable documentaries including 'Rize' and 'The Tillman Story' both which were official selections of the Sundance film festival. He also shoots commercials and narratives.
