Hello my fine floating friends.....
I just wanted you to know as we are winding down and coming close to the final days..... I am still working hard! And then some! The higher the number the more I can accomplish for this step of post-production.
I added two new clips to You Tube!
The first clip is me talking about grassroots activism, which is what we have all done here! For which.. ...my gratitude cannot even be expressed in words. I have been trying to keep focused and not let my emotions get the best of me at this moment---- I am going to keep working-working-working!...which I love. But, I have definately had my eyes filled with tears since the 3rd, as I continue to get amazing messages from people.
Here is how you can find the first clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch...
The second clip is me talking at Re/Dress NYC at the Fat Studies Reader book signing event in Brooklyn, New York on Friday, December 4th.
Here is that video: http://www.youtube.com/watch...
I will be returning to Re/Dress for Maxi Craft! A Holiday Craft Fair on Wednesday, December 9th. I will be screening the trailer and taking questions from the crowd! And pledges, too! I hope! :)
I am very grateful to Deb and Bevin for the invites!
On December 20th @ 7pm EST, I am going to have an open conference line to talk to all of you! Anyone can phone in and chat live with me. Everyone is welcome! I would really love it if you did, so that I can personally thank you. I think we would have a cheerful discussion with many laughs! Please consider joining me! I would really love it if you could!
Lastly, gratefully, Fat Girls Float was featured in an article by Anna North on Jezebel.com. If you haven't read it yet, please do so: http://jezebel.com/5416346/i-wont-simply-accept-that-my-brother-is-fat I ask you to please continue to keep Ms. Shriver in your prayers.
That's it for now... but not for long!
"In a world where fat can weigh you down, the only thing that keeps you from sinking is the size of your heart." FAT GIRLS FLOAT.
Much love
KIRA NERUSSKAYA

As a 300+ pound woman, I thought the best way to share the secrets of the fat world should be told by an insider. The world of size acceptance was introduced to me via accident, by a guy while I stood waiting for a train at New York City’s Grand Central Station in 1994. I’m thankful that he unknowingly led me to my people.
Upon entering the fat/BBW world, I found an avenue for friendship, resource sharing, art, and a story to share with the world. Touched by the stories I have both experienced and witnessed, I decided to share story of the collective plight, including my own, to lighten and enlighten those willing to listen. As a size activist, I testified at the Massachusetts state senate against anti- discrimination in the work place for height and weight in 2008. I feel life should not wait, despite your weight. It’s true, fat girls do float.
