Kickstarter

Greetings all. Well, we tried but we didn't quite make it across the finish line. The writing was on the wall pretty early, so I didn't expect at rally late in the game. 

I want to thank all the backers for standing up publicly and declaring they believed in the project so much they were willing to put up the cash to make it happen. You have no idea how much your belief in my little idea meant to me.

I also wanted to thank those who took to their blogs or Facebook or Twitter to spread the word. I looked at the numbers and most of the traffic came from recommendations.

To all those who helped the project along from our models, photographers, designers, playtesters, thank you all for your help. Know that you had everything to do with our success and nothing to do with this failure. That falls back on me. Your hard work, while unseen is far from unappreciated.

I can't say what the future holds, but I'm determined to get CLIQUE into the hands of the public, some way, some how. We're going to step back and evaluate what we could have done better. In the meantime, we've got some other projects in the works we are hoping to put up here on Kickstarter. We'd love it if you'd take a look and maybe back them if you feel so inclined. Thank you for your time and your attention. I hope to see you again in the new year.

Sometimes it only takes a small thing to totally make your day. 

One of my favorite sites out there is GeekDad ( http://www.wired.com/geekdad/ ) , what with me being a geeky dad and all, it's only natural. They are an offshoot of Wired magazine, which also happens to be one of the best periodicals on the market. 

But why am I telling you about these amazing people? Simple, GeekDad is now hosting a curated site on Kickstarter of the projects they think are cool or interesting or GeekDad-esque. I asked them to take a look at CLIQUE and they dug it. We are now a featured attraction on their Kickstarter page: http://www.kickstarter.com/pages/geekdad  . Thank you to GeekDad, Wired and everyone who has stopped by because of them. 

Greetings all. As we stand on the cusp of Thanksgiving, we wanted to let you all know how grateful we are for all of you, for your time and your money and your belief in our little game. We thank you so very much.

However, we are not done yet. We are only 1/3rd of the way towards our goal. If we don't make it, you unfortunately will not get your rewards. And we want you to have your rewards! So please spread the word. Tell your friends, tell your family. What better topic of conversation over the dinner table than about the amazing new game you are backing? 

In the meantime, we have another exciting image for you. Here's a rough version of one of our Gossip cards. It's missing the key art, but the format is finished and should give you an idea of the feel of the game. This card would be played on an opponent's Guy to keep them from gaining any popularity points from him.

After a couple of requests, we've decided to add a new prize level. Now, if you donate $15, you can get a copy of CLIQUE. For those of you who have already backed us, keep in mind that this level is for the game and the game alone. Fifteen bucks will not get you a shirt, promo cards or anything else. This is for the people on a very tight budget who still want to help us get the game made. Never let it be said we let a good idea go to waste.
