Updates and Gen Con in Booth #1404!
Hey there, Sentinels fans! Ready for a major update? Good!
First, let's get down to the business stuff. We've finally received word from the printer about the shipping schedule, and it looks like we'll be receiving the thousands of games either the day before or the day after Gen Con (if it happens during Gen Con, we will have to tell the shipping company to hold it for a few days until we return). We absolutely have to have product by Gen Con, so a shipping schedule so tight is really making us nervous. As a result, we are shelling out the big bucks to have a couple hundred of the Enhanced Edition, Infernal Relics, and all the promo cards air shipped directly to Gen Con.
What does this mean for you, our fabulous Kickstarter backers? It means that the day we get back from Gen Con, we start packing and shipping your games. We have already begun setting up boxes and packing materials so that your orders can be sent out right away. Honestly, we wanted to be mailing them within the next week, but we cannot control the shipping speeds. Now, if Tempest would do something with ocean currents . . .
However! If you're going to be at Gen Con, let us know! We will have the master list of all the Kickstarter backers and your rewards, so come find us in booth #1404 and we will hand deliver them to you, along with a tidy pile of Sentinels Points.
And that brings us on to our next section: Gen Con. "Wait," you're asking. "You just said something about Sentinels Points. What are those?" Well, faithful reader, Sentinels Points look like this:
"Ooh! Cool! But what do they do?" you ask, even more insistent now. Fortunately, we don't have to explain. We just point you to the fancy banners describing how to get Sentinels Points and what they can be used for:
See? Aren't you excited now? Need more information? Well, ok.
At our booth (booth #1404, for those of you who weren't paying attention earlier), we will have tables with places for anyone to come up and play Sentinels of the Multiverse! Official Greater Than Games Sidekicks, as well as the game creators themselves, will be on hand to play the game with you, which is awesome and a fantastic experience in of itself. But wait! There's more! Just by playing the game, you get Sentinels Points! Then, you get more by doing the things listed on that middle banner! HOW COOL IS THAT?
Now, you might be wondering about the "difficulty level" of villains. This comes from a chart that we've included on page 10 of the Enhanced Edition version of the Sentinels of the Multiverse rulebook. Here's page 10!
So, for those of you that want a more intense challenge, that gives you an idea of what you're up against.

As for things which we do have for sale, here's the final version of the playmat, finally!
Pretty nifty! Many of you will be getting those through the Kickstarter, but we'll also have them for sale on the website and at Gen Con. In a booth. Probably booth #1404. You never know anymore.
Besides the every day playing of Sentinels of the Multiverse, we also have an exciting costume contest on Saturday of Gen Con! Here's a totally awesome photo from last year's Gen Con:

Saturday, August 18th, we will host a Sentinels of the Multiverse costume contest at 11:00 AM! Come as your favorite character from the Sentinels of the Multiverse world! The costumes will be judged jointly by Christopher, Adam, and Paul, and two winners will be chosen. Each winner can pick from a pile of prizes, including a sizable stack of Sentinels Points, a t-shirt, or even one of the very few remaining copies of the Young Legacy promo card!

Ahh, I see I see. That's a shame. Well i'll probably still be willing to make a four hour drive, like I said I did always want to go to Six Flags so getting the SotM stuff and going to Six Flags would make a awesomely awesome trip.
