Promo Ra!
When The Ennead made their modern-day appearance, destroying any population centers they entered and calling out their challenge for Ra to come and face them, the heroes of the world immediately took notice. None so fast as Ra himself, who arrogantly sought them out alone to meet their challenge. The combined might of The Ennead proved to be greater than Ra anticipated, however, and he was defeated in a massive battle which left the surrounding cities and desert even more of a wasteland.
The fight with The Ennead left Ra stunned and shattered. He could not remember who he was, nor that there was a part of him that used to be Dr. Blake Washington, Jr. The being formerly known as Ra wandered into the desert, disappearing from the public eye entirely for years.
Meanwhile, The Ennead continued their assault on the world, drunk with power and thirsting for more! Various teams of heroes, such as the Freedom Five, took them on and managed to quell their attacks for some time, but The Ennead proved consistently able to regroup and recover, redoubling their efforts each time.
Now, years later, The Ennead are met with a new challenger who reminds them of an ancient foe they once had. Ra has returned from his wandering, but he seems something more...

Last saturday, my friends and I played with the new Ra's HP and Powers, to get a feel for him.
Not that we really bothered using it much, though. It was far more useful to us to keep spamming flesh of the sun god which I got on the first use of his base power. Still, I can see how it'll make him interesting, especially for getting to his 3 card combo

Excellent. The more fanmade heroes and villains the better, as far as I'm concerned. The more variety we can introduce into the game the better.

Character Power: Pie! (one hero regains 2 hp)
Toast! (One-shot; two targets take 2 fire damage each, for four targets take 1 fire damage each)
Bread Spatula (Equipment; Power: deal up to three targets 1 melee damage each)
Baker's Dozen (Ongoing; every time a card regains 3 or more hp, you regain 1 hp)
Flour Clap (One-Shot; target cannot deal damage until beginning of your next turn)
More Garlic! (Ongoing, Limited: Any time a target deals melee damage to you, they take 1 toxic damage. Heroes cannot play cards or use powers to help you. Power: Destroy this card)
The Baker's Nemesis would have to be a modern incarnation of the Horseman Famine... maybe like out of Good Omens: a celebrity nutritionist/dietician who's promoting starvation as a lifestyle.

I was actually thinking something like that but I didn't want to get my hopes up. Honestly I can't get enough of the heroes. I know it was mentioned in a podcast I believe that they were planning something like pure villain expansions that were all villains but I'd like to see pure hero expansions of nothing but heroes. Of course, both would be even better. Honestly though, as long as the 50k reward is actual game content, I'll be happy. The only other thing I can think it might be is comics but I hope it's not. Comics are fine but just make them a separate product instead of a reward on a kickstarter. That's my opinion anyway. I think I'm just too anxious for the reward to be some super double expansion crazy bonus everything package.

@Mr. Keadle: Maybe that's the Super Secret Awesome Bonus at the $50k level: custom decks to go with the supernifty promo cards, like Young Legacy and the new Ra, maybe Bolshevik Baron Blade and Cosmic Omnitron
Heck, I'd settle for a set of the HP tracker cards for all the heroes as an additional bonus, but everything's been so bloody sweet so far I can't wait to see what they >G guys consider "Super Awesome."
