Walt Whitman time travels. Will New York (and Gay Politics) Recover?

Amorous Wet:  Walt Whitman in Love

As part of Dixon Place’s HOT Festival this coming July we are presenting a showcase of a work-in-progress entitled: “Amorous Wet: Walt Whitman in Love”, in which Whitman (John Farrell) and his Irish friend, Peter Doyle, (Antóin Ó Gormáin) find their worlds crashing into the New York of the present and vice versa. Combining black-out sketches, comedy, recitations, romance, puppetry (designed by Michelle and Deborah Beshaw) and videos. The overall result proves equally funny and touching as one New Yorker, so ahead of his time, is brought up to date!

The production is raising funds now, and we are in deficit for a modest $650. Please consider giving any amount to help get us to the stage!
