IMPORTANT UPDATE

I recently finished my book on bullying, and am going ahead with getting illustrations so I can self-publish it. My updates explain in more detail what I am doing. It is an important subject, and I want to get it out to schools and libraries ASAP so kids can learn as well as be entertained.

The Backstory

I write short stories for my disabled wife, as well as my 4-year-old granddaughter.

My wife suffered an anoxic brain injury four years ago and has short-term memory problems. I pen short stories, using familly members and our pets as a way of helping her remember all that was dear to her.

I also write for my granddaughter, and have used her as the main character in two of my books.

My writing has evolved now to where I have written a dozen stories using brother and sister ants as my main characters. They get in situations that children might find themselves, then must find a way out of their problem.

All of my stories have a lesson, and I would like to get copies of them for our area libraries so children could learn something while enjoying them.

What I need

Alas, this costs money and I am retired and on a fixed income. And I am finding it more and more difficult to pay for the illustrations. I currently have three stories that are done and ready for illustrations, but I just cannot afford them right now.

And one of my stories is timely and would like to get it out as soon as I can. It concerns bullying, and gives examples of bullying and things children can do to avoid being bullied. It is told through the eyes of my ant characters and know it would be interesting and informative for children.

I am asking for donations so I can continue my work of writing stories. Any money received will go back into my books, either for illustrations or for buying copies of them.
