5 + 1 mixed by Sleazy McQueen
For six years Headtunes Recordings has been releasing music by some of the best deep house producers around the world.
However as the recording industry has shifted gears becoming more of a digital orientated arena, we have been burned due to the mysterious disappearance of some of our distributors and pressing plants closing along with the money they owed to us.
Through the turmoil we have managed to keep releasing great house music and have garnered the attention of some of the worlds leading DJs and electronic music critics.
We want to celebrate our sixth year in existence with the release of a compilation album hand selected by Orlando's most exciting up and coming house producer, Sleazy McQueen. 5 + 1 will feature songs selected from our back catalog along with previously unreleased gems from Do It Proper, Homero Espinosa, J Kriv of Tortured Soul as well as some other works from Sleazy McQueen and Cosmic Boogie. We just need the funding to pull it off. We have the songs, we have the DJ but we need to find funding for the mastering, promtion and manufacturing of the CD's. That’s some expensive stuff but this is where your contribution / donations will be rewarded handsomely.

Please remember that should we not reach our fundraising goal, then we get zero, zip, zilch, nothing. We are aiming for $1500 and if we raise anything above that, we will use it to upgrade the manufacturing quality. (Nicer covers, more eco friendly packaging, etc). So not only can you help be part of this release, we might actually help the environment as well, plus you get something in return for your generous donations and will always be remembered as part of this exciting project.

Since 2005 Boston based Headtunes Recordings have released music by respected underground producers including Audio Soul Project, Joshua Iz, Pete Dafeet, Dexter and Sleazy McQueen alongside up and coming talents such as Rob Clarke, Brenden Wesley, Markus Mehta, Matt Prehn and Bass Experiment. The labels diverse sound covers everything from nu disco through house and techno.
When you think of House Music, usually the first thing that pops in your head is either Chicago, or New York City. Boston is not a city that would roll off the lips at first, but now it shall with Boston based Headtunes Recordings!
