ABOUT OUR FUNDING GOAL: We've listed $1.00 as our goal. Why? The more that is donated through this campaign the more time we can spend in the studio perfecting, reworking, editing and exacting the album. So, depending on what kind of financial stores we have to work with we can either do this very low-budget or secure the best studio available.

Given the description in the "blurb" section it would appear as though SNDTRKR were more a live project versus an endeavor that delves into studio work for a resulting album; not so. This effort represents what could be perceived as a "departure" from said prior project (Southerly), though, this is part of a very natural artistic progression that has been building to become what SNDTRKR is.

There are only two of us, Eli and myself (Krist). We don't have a large or even standard line-up of performers vested in the project which makes for meager means but we're both very smart about where, why and how we invest in this endeavor; yes, very DIY and smart business if you will.

The project has already moved at an incredible pace. Five practices prior to our debut show which was recorded and released (Inglorious Debut, you can listen here http://www.selfgroup.org/soundtracker.html), first North American tour booked with a second later tour in the planning stages and additional plans to take the project overseas to the EU/UK where our booking agent and support network are ready to start redlining the road atlas. Additionally, we have secured and printed promotional materials and the first batches of merchandise for the tour(s).

All of this is to inform you that you are investing in a very intelligent operation. That the support you're providing will be accurately applied precisely where it is needed and to the greatest benefit of this project.

The resulting album is somewhat of a mystery to Eli and I, which in turn makes this ever more exciting; that we're unsure of what, as a whole, we are about to create. We've set no boundaries and with our combined songwriting, engineering and producing experience, we know that we're going to make this exactly what it deserves to be.
