About this project
Tinybrokenfilms is the brainchild of three friends - Chris, a professional screenwriter and filmmaker; Cemil, a professional computer junkie and businessman; and Ray, a professional Graphic Designer and entrepreneur. Together we have created an independent film company and website focused on bringing quality independent film to the internet and the big screen.
Our Kickstarter project is a 12 part, serialized film titled SCENARIO 51, a near-future noir. Each of the 12 parts has a 10 minute running time and when finished in their serialized run they will be re-edited into a 120 minute feature for release to theaters. They are to be shot in black and white and presented in the time honored "cliffhanger" style of the classic Saturday matinee serials of the '30s and '40s. We are currently in pre-production and will be going in to the production phase in January 2010 and releasing the film to the web in the summer of 2010.
We invite anyone to follow along on our website www.tinybrokenfilms.com where we will invite audience participation in various phases of the production and provide regular updates. This may include anything from fan votes on upcoming plot points, flash mob style crowd scenes and possibly providing open source code for a contest to edit a fan version of the final feature film that would be included with the production on an upcoming DVD release.
Be part of our Tinybrokennation - we will do our best to entertain you and we will post the occasional free offer as well as placing tinybrokenindustries products on our website, the money from any sales going directly to supporting the content for the site.
