About this project
This project is a Gestalt exploration of the construction laborer and digital designer - creatively expressed through photography and graphic design.
*NOTICE*
I just uploaded my first video update (8/5) that is mainly about who I am, how the project originally sparked to life years ago, and what the "Organic Industry" project means to me.
The goal of this project is to travel to numerous construction sites throughout the southeast and create a database of images by photographing various machines, workers, textures and landscapes. Then to take these images, explore their visual relationships and in contrast to the steel, diesel and destruction of their design, create visually engaging digital artworks composed of their industrial parts that will represent the whole of the organic beauty lost in their wake.
Once at least 24 digital artworks have been produced, a book will be published and made available in both paperback and hardcover, in addition to a series of postcards that will be made available to all LEVEL 2 supporters and above. Giclee prints on paper (your choice of the 24 prints produced) will be available in two sizes (12x18 and 24x36) for those pledging higher amounts.
WHAT IS NEEDED
Your pledge will go toward equipment, travel expenses to construction sites throughout Georgia and beyond, and printing costs for the finished books and giclee prints produced.
SPECIAL PROMOTION: First 10 backers will receive a photo mousepad of the original poster (pictured above) that inspired this project - a $10 value.
