ABOUT THIS PROJECT

It's kind of funny the way this whole songwriting thing works. You can go for a long time without producing much worth talking about -- then, in one extended moment, a whole bunch of great tunes come pouring out of some Krasnikov tube out there in timespace, and those songs find their way into your fingers and your vocal cords, and you play them and you sing them and people say, "Hey, that sounds good," and...well, I think that's pretty much what has happened here.

My EP Woodstock Six, was a great experience in so many ways. Working in the studio with world-class musicians (including Wings drummer Steve Holley) and a top-flight engineer (Mark Dann of Fast Folk fame), I made a musical statement of which I am still proud today. The sleeper hit "French Telephone" emerged from the Woodstock Six sessions, and the project opened up many, many doors, creatively and professionally.

Now it's five years later, and I have so much great new music to share. I deeply believe in this new crop of songs. They're clever and catchy and "hooky" as heck. And I want to do them right, so I'll be using top-notch session players and one of the industry's best producer/engineers. Once the CD is complete, I'll be devoting lots of time, energy and resources to promotion, to make sure the music reaches as many ears as possible.

And that's where you come in: Through this Kickstarter page, you have an opportunity to play a major role in making my project a reality. I'm attempting to raise $7,000 -- a tight, but workable, budget for the CD I have in mind. I really appreciate your help. I want you to know that your money will be well spent, and that your faith in me is well placed.
