Kickstarter

I sang an original song "Ship Of Safety" at my church recently. A friend asked me if I had a recording of the song. I started to say no, then remembered - Yes I do! I recorded the song along with "Amazing Grace" with the stellar Roscoe Beck on bass several years ago when I was working on another project. Those tracks have been languishing on the studio hard drive and I want to edit and mix them and release the songs as digital downloads. All I need is a little cash and that is where you can help.

I estimate I can finish both songs for around $400. If I raise more than $400 or if it costs less than that to finish the songs, I will go back into the studio and start recording more tracks. I have been writing lots of new songs the last few years and it is time to start working on the next CD. I guestimate that if I can raise $1000, I can record the guitar and vocal tracks to another two or three new songs in addition to finishing the songs above. And 2k would give me enough to do guitar and vocal tracks for 8 or 9 new songs, maybe more. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Yippee! Please make a pledge and bring this music out into the world.

Wow - we met my initial kickstarter goal of $400 in 24 hours! I will be able to finish the tracks for "Amazing Grace' and "Ship of Safety". Any more pledges will go towards recording new tracks for more songs. This could be the beginning of the next CD!

9/6/11 - The Kickstarter page will close in a few hours and I wanted to let you know that as of now $780 has been pledged online. A few people have sent money the old fashioned way - through a check in the mail, so the total is close to $1000 at this point.

I am excited about finishing the partially done tracks and starting to work on a new recording. Thanks for your help!
