Help fund the manufacturing of Jeremiah Cymerman's first solo clarinet record since 2008's "In Memory of the Labyrinth System".

In late 2011 I set out to make a new solo clarinet record.  My plan was to record fast and loose with the music being made up mostly of live takes that would be a reflection of my solo clarinet/electronics/amplifier concerts.  Work began and good results followed.  As time went on and the record began to take shape I began to hear new sounds and possibilities and I began to be pulled in other directions. I would record one piece, thinking that it was the final piece, only to put it all together and hear yet another direction that the record was going. Work continued like this until I broke virtually every rule that I had set for myself. The end result is as brutal and honest a record as I've ever made. While there is an overabundance of studio trickery, bizarre mic placement, amplifier feedback and hyper-editing on "Purification/Dissolution", it is also the first record I've ever released to feature extended sections of pure, real-time performances.

I am extremely proud of "Purification/Dissolution" and because I've spent so long working on it I have decided that in order to get the record to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, that it would be best to forgo the route of typical label involvement. This music feels urgent and I want you to hear this as soon as possible.

Your contributions to this campaign will help pay for the cost of mastering and CD manufacturing. All of this music is already done and once I can successfully fund this project I can have the CD in the hands of contributors in a matter of weeks.
Thank you for your ears, your time and your contributions.
With all the Love in the World
Jeremiah
