About this project
We're very excited to announce The Northern Key will be recording our second full-length record in Seattle with Jason Goessl of Slow Skate! We will be recording the record Memorial Day weekend. We will also be playing a show with Slow Skate at the Sunset Tavern in Beautiful Ballard, WA on Friday May 27th 2011.
We will be pressing a full-length vinyl after we've completed the recording. What's that you say? You don't have a record player? Well, a digital download of the record will be included with each vinyl pressing and if you're simply stuck between 1990 and 2002 we will get you a purdy compact disc of sorts if you request it.
We're really looking forward to releasing and promoting this second record. 2010 was an amazing year for us. We were invited to play Noisepop at Bimbos opening for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. We also managed to play The Rickshaw Stop with Grand Archives as well as The Independent with The Clientele!

“The Northern Key” came alive at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco with Chris Chu recording and mixing a collection of Andrew Galluccio's songs with local musician Jen Grady contributing vocals and cello. Christina Platter and Danny Sullivan were enlisted to help bring the music to the stage and it's been a rather pleasant journey from there.
