About this project
Got Healthcare? is 91 minutes of out in the street, fast cutting, hard hitting, political documentary with protests, rallies, vigils, and congressional town hall meetings over America's health care reform debate in the summer of 2009. Over 60 people, many of them doctors and health care professionals, were interviewed in the Los Angeles area in this stream of conversation style film.
The film was produced and directed by Jon Raymond with the unsolicited help of numerous activist organizations including MoveOn, Healthcare Now, Mobilization for Health Care, numerous Congressional offices, and the White House to provide the venues and events filmed.
The film is completed and can be previewed (low res) for free for a limited time on IMDb, as well as purchased. We want to launch a distribution campaign to promote the film to film festivals and make DVDs directly available through our official website, at film festivals, and events. Money will be used for insurance, and to bulk purchase DVDs, print fliers, posters, cards and promotional materials, enter festivals, and for advertising.
