As above, however instead of just one character, you have the option to create an entire gang or faction for the game. You can provide the story/idea/theme for the gang and name the members. This gang will be made as a new box set at a later date, figures will be sculpted based on your ideas and the set will be sold online and in fine game stores worldwide, right along with our other products. The only condition being that your gang should fit with the theme for the rest of the game, reflecting a historical, yet fictional WIld West setting. This gang will be added to the game as a new product at a later date (after these first 2 sets are made), and is not included as part of this Kickstarter project.

We're still waiting for GameCraft to finish sending us the next shipment of buildings. It's taken them a while because they don't really have anything in stock, it's all made to order.. so when we order like 200 it takes a long time :( I'm really sad and sorry it's had to take so long for some of you. Last we heard on monday is it will take "a few more days" to finish the buildings so I'm hoping they'll show up next week finally.

Got my order on Monday, followed up by an invoice from fedex.
FedEx is a bit crazy they are charging me more for handling the import than the actual tax amount. It would have been way easier with USPS, then I would have just needed to drop by the tax office and pay less than half for importing it to Germany.

My arrived Saturday as well (Chicago). I was at the one box level, and the bonus figures (Norwegian, etc.) were in a tiny plastic bag loose in the styrofoam peanuts; the dice were in another loose bag. The box contained the expected 5 figures, thin quickstart rules, and two bags of cards (presumably for the box and for the bonus figures); not shrinkwrapped.
Postage was printed on 12/26.

Honestly, packing minis/shrink wrapping doesn't take that much effort. It shouldn't take more than a few hours with 2~3 people working on it at once to handle the number of boxes this Kickstarter has.

Sorry again his has dragged on so long. Been back and forth with the warehouse guys about what's included with this or that order, so I know they're working on it. I just asked nicely if he could give me an ETA on shipping now so hopefully I'll have some good news soon. I never thought it would have taken this long.
I think the issue with this campaign vs others is they're doing all of the fulfillment for BWG, meaning they're packing all the minis, cards, etc, in the boxes, shrink wrapping and everything, so I guess that ended up being more work than they thought. Most of their other games are just a board game that's already made so they just have to grab it off the shelf and ship it out.
Anyway, hopefully I'll hear back soon...

Looking at some of the other kickstarters, I am indeed growing... nervous. Many of those don't have the numbers this one does, least of all the one after this in terms of # of backers. In addition, the seem, as David points out, to have FAILED to meet those requirements. I hope for Blackwater's sake that their sales force or whatever their bringing to the table, actually works for them. Another kickstarter with another delay after the numerous delays of the first one? Not a fatal blow but who wants two black eyes?

Funny thing is if you read the game salute background they say they are trying to setup to fulfill kickstarter via special focus on shipment, quality, etc. Yet when you read back onto the previous kickstarters they've run most appear to have missed the deadlines.

The thing I'm worried about, is this one has 248 backers. The new one has 434 backers. THe people doing it are saying of the current one, "This campaign is not typical so I can not estimate when it will complete. " The new one is not quite double this one but the fact that thigns still haven't shipped is not necessarily a good sign that they'll be able to handle it, regardless of what they've learned. Still, as the old saying goes, we will see.

I'm hoping they can get everything sent out shortly. I really can't say when though :( Sorry, this is all my fault. I should have had them just send everyone's orders as plain minis instead of waiting on the boxes to get done, but I felt like we had to wait on the printed stuff, since that's what I said people would be getting in the beginning.

Everyone at Game Salute has been a class act, I'm confident they'll get the kinks sorted out, and the orders shipped as soon as they can. The new campaign will go much smoother too as they'll already have the systems in place, and since we'll be sending out unboxed minis the new orders should go out much sooner than July. There shouldn't be any printing to wait on other than the character cards, and I'm about to wrap them up as soon as I get the color artwork for the last few characters. So the new campaign will go much smoother than this one did :)

Just to keep everyone in the loop .. Game Salute is still working on packing up everyone's orders. I emailed their warehouse manager for an ETA, and here's his response.
"Your project requires quite a bit of work and materials have been coming in sporadically. It is in the queue and under way. This campaign is not typical so I can not estimate when it will complete. I will send you confirmation when the last packages are on the dock awaiting pick up."

NP, and I totally understand. Since the warehouse is STILL waiting for the boxes :( there's really no chance you'll get your minis in the next 2 days. I'm sorry again :( I need to just stop giving date estimates because I'm always wrong. I really regret jumping the gun with the new campaign, but it's too late now. If you're worried about missing out, you could get in with a $5 or $10 pledge for the dice, and then when you do get your original minis, you can always add on new items before we send the new orders out. Just like how folks could add-on with this one. I don't think Game Salute has plans to do a pledge manager open to everyone, but you will be able to add to an existing pledge at the very least.

I've seen other positive reviews too, but can't remember where exactly. I haven't gotten a single bad review about the quality, in fact I went with Iron Wind metals because I know I'll get the best. Maybe that added to the price a bit, but I'd rather pay a little extra for quality than pay less for something sub par. And if this helps at all here is a pic I took of some naked figures. Not filed or trimmed or cleaned up in any way

Sorry again for all the screw ups and crazy delays. I'm just glad to have Game Salute's help now, so this won't be happening again. In fact for the new campaign we're going to be giving everyone unboxed figures so you can get them even earlier, instead of waiting for slow printers like I forced everyone to do for this one. Any word from Game Salute on progress? Under 48 hours left on your new project, and no sign that even the first box has shipped from this one. As much as I like your concepts, execution in the sculpting and casting is critical. I have a couple hundred bucks earmarked for the new campaign, but am looking for somebody impartial who can say that they've seen the finished product and can confirm that neither the sculpting nor casting suffered from the haste and volume. (Not to mention all the other important points, such as flash/moldlines, scale, fit of slottabases, ease of removing tab for scenic basing, etc.)

hmm.. tough one. I'm hopeful, but I can't guarantee because I don't know how long shipping takes to get there usually. But I sure hope it will be there in time. As long as they can get your add-on paints in quick :) That shouldn't be a problem though, Game Salute is just going to order them from one of their distributors.
