"Livin' the Dream" is a comedy about a talented, yet struggling, actor in Hollywood named Richard Sweat and his eccentric entourage.
"Livin' the Dream" is a 1/2 hour TV series that will follow the journey of Richard Sweat, a talented yet struggling actor, and his eccentric entourage. Call it the prequel to "Entourage": a show that will focus on actors slugging away in the trenches. From the auditions, the casting directors, the acting teachers, the agents, the directors and the producers, this show will cover it all.
Academy-award nominee and Golden Globe winning actress Sally Kirkland will be playing Bonnie D. Jr., a colorful talent agent who wants to sign Richard as a client. From "The Suite Life on Deck" and "The Drew Carey Show", star Robert Torti will be playing Richard's father and "Little House on the Prairie" star Alison Arngrim will be playing Richard's mother.
We are looking to raise $30,000 to shoot the pilot episode of this series. The plan is to take the pilot and shop it around to TV networks and production companies. Where will your money go? Your contributions will help to cover crew and talent pay, equipment rentals, location fees, insurance coverage, food for cast and crew, post-production expenses (editing, sound mixing and design), and publicity costs. Considering most TV show costs run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, we will be making a great product on a very meager budget. And how cool to be able to say that you were part of bringing a hit TV show to life!
