KRAZE is the premiere brand on men, sex and relationships for women of color. Our magazine is a quarterly publication (print & digital) with a multimedia presence. Our goal is to raise awareness, visibility and communication amongst females about these topics through a fun, entertaining and empowering platform. Our coverage also includes supplemental content on beauty, fashion and lifestyle items.

FAQ: Per Kickstarter’s policy, you will not be charged and we will not be funded if we do not meet our goal!

PROGRESS SO FAR…                                                                                                 The website for KRAZE was launched almost 3 years ago and it was immediately embraced and instantly began to grow in popularity. The response showed us that we were on to something! However, our goal has always been to not only be a website, but to be a complete multimedia brand which includes a print and digital publication.

In summer 2011 we released our first national issue (our 2nd print issue); it was available in 35 states at various bookstores throughout the country. The feedback from the issue was overwhelmingly positive and far exceeded our expectations. The issue generated widespread buzz and garnered coverage from some of the top web/blog sites. We’ve been consistently growing ever since! 

WHY DO WE NEED FUNDING?                                                                         Running a great media company isn’t cheap!

Thus far, KRAZE has been primarily self-funded with some additional help from family. We’ve gotten by on a small budget with a lot of late nights, dedication and hard work. Thankfully, we’ve also had tremendous support from our contributors and business associates. We’ve sustained by pouring every dollar back into the business. 

But we can’t continue to do it alone! In order to produce the next issue of the publication and keep up with our growth we need your help!

HOW WILL THE FUNDS BE USED?                                                                    Our minimum goal is $25,000 but we would ultimately like to raise more to allow us to consistently deliver a quality publication. Money raised from our Kickstarter campaign will go towards the following:

1.) Printing for the next issue                                                                                       2.) Marketing – allowing us to effectively get the word out                                           3.) Distribution – to maintain our bookstore presence and supply copies to additional retail locations.

SHOULD I PLEDGE AFTER THE GOAL IS MET?                                                  YES!

Additional funding above our goal will go towards strengthening our foundation and helping us provide consistent future issues. It will go towards the following:

1.) Expanding our national presence                                                                             2.) Sales and advertising                                                                                                 3.) Developing a magazine app for Apple & Android devices                                     4.) Printing future issues                                                                                                   5.) Updating our website                                                                                                 6.) Branding                                                                                                                       7.) Paying contributors and writers
