About
Lunar Fashions is a visual novel/fashion game
which revolves around a crazy girl name Mizuki as she creates and sells outfits
to earn enough money to buy her limited edition collectables. The game
mostly revolves around Mizuki creating outfits for the customers when the shop
is open while creating outfits and buying materials before you open the store.
The game has multiple endings and several character paths depending if you
managed to successfully complete their request. There are several sub events
and mini game though out the game with bonus when the game is completed.
Story
The main story path follows Mizuki as she sees
an announcement that her favorite show will have an anniversary convention
where they will sell and auction limited edition collectables. As one of the
biggest fans she wants to have all of them but she doesn’t have enough money to
buy them all thus Mizuki decides to use her talents to create and sell outfits
to the masses. Thus Mizuki has 30 days to gain as much money as she can
before the convention starts.
Game Mechanics
The core game elements revolve around you
selling outfits. Starting out you only has a few outfits thus you need to
buy books to make new outfits also make sure you have enough material to create
new and sell the outfits. To create outfits you need the book and the materials
to make the outfit and creating outfits will increase your selection to
optimize you score to get more money. The customer will give you a
request which can vary from a full outfit to matching an article of clothing to
complete the set. When the customer gives you the request you have to
pay attention to what the person is wearing to give you a hint of the persons
taste. The money you will get will depend on the outfit and how much the
customer likes it but if they don’t’ like it they won’t pay for it. While
doing this you will need to increase your reputation and the only way to do
that is to get high marks on your outfits. The more they like it the
faster your reputation increases and you can get more customers per day but if
they hate it your reputation will slowly decrease. There are also several
character paths which you can get to by succeeding or failing their request
doing this my give you an alternate ending with some of the paths.

Overfunding
Originally I had the goal about $2,000 to $2,500 but I rather have the bronze medal than no medal at all so I lowered the original to a little more conservative goal but I do have several overfunding goals if it passes that goals mostly to continue to improve the product but I’ll add more extra stuff to improve quality or give on an extra bonus rewards to encourage people to spread the word. There are several things I would like to add or do but I can’t do it all so I’ll list below a general estimate of what will happen when we reach the overfunding goals.
When we exceed $2,500 it should be enough to add all of the music to the game and do some outsourcing to the graphics to improve some of the quality where I think someone can do better and if any if left I’ll take some time off to focus 100% on the project and invest on a few extra things. The bonus reward for reaching this goal is add a second custom theme wallpaper via the design based on a popular vote for everyone who donated as an extra reward.
When we exceed $5,000 I’ll see if I can make some sort of possible agreement and make contract with a programmer so I can change the programming language and free up more time so I can work more on the art work and events. I’ll still get an artist to fill the voids where I think someone could do better to up the quality. Another plus is that it’ll be easier to port to other platforms mostly due to the fact I’m more of an artist than a programmer. The bonus reward for reaching this goal is to have a supporter vote to add something extra to the game via backers request where you will request what you want in the project and we’ll make a poll and add the most popular thing to the game as a way of thanks for reaching this goal.
If we exceed $10,000 I can do everything above which means add the full list of music, get an programmer to free a lot of my time up to work on the other parts and to improve performance and porting. With the extra money I should be able to add some voice work to the project but mostly likely a few key scenes only based on a very rough estimate. Voice work usually makes these games a little more enjoyable vs. reading the text and trying to imagine their tone. If this goal is reached I’ll one up the previous bonus rewards and give everyone who backed the project a mini poster thanking everyone in reaching the $10,000 goal.
If the chance it gets this far and exceeds $25,000 I can do everything above which means add the full list of music, get an programmer to free a lot of my time up to work on the other parts and to improve performance and porting. I should be able to add a lot more voice work to Lunar Fashion were at least the key scenes will be voiced. If the possibility this goal is reached I’ll do a vote and majority request on the $25,000+ goal reward (Note the majority request reward will have to be reasonable due to giving it out in bulk.)
Now and later
Right now I’m just working and trying to complete the total scrip and playing around with a combat system concept on the site and preparing the final outfit designs and poses. Once the script is 100% completed and edited I’ll start putting the final drafts on the cut scenes and events and work on the final character graphics before the deadline ends. Depending on where the final funding ends I’ll decide how the last parts will be added. The game should be out by the end of June maybe July if we get in the higher range of the goals. Any ports to other platforms should happen after that.

If you pay attention to what the customer wants and look at their taste then it won’t be much of a problem due to I made it where anyone can pick up and play with a little challenge. For people that want more of a challenge can play hard mode after they complete the game once.

Over a dozen characters are in the game plus a couple of dozen random NPCs. Their are also hidden characters you can unlock by completing certain scenarios.

You can get anywhere between 1 and 5 customers depending on your reputation. You can increase your reputation by completing stories and request.

Yes but I might not have the time for several things thus a few things might not be in the final version plus I can't guarantee their will be music on the first release. But I’ll post a link to a online store when it’s release if you are still interested in buying it.

There will be a couple of fighting mini games, rhythm game and a few others but I can’t reveal them all due to some might not make it and a few are tied to a few character stories.
