Update #12: This campaign is closing, but Chalk Party will move forward!
Hello backers and friends. This Kickstarter project will end soon, and our goal of $18,000 is still far off. Knowing that we may not meet our goal, I have been working hard on a plan B to get Chalk Party made. I want to fill you in on it now.
First, I want to emphasize that when this project was launched, we didn't have a dollar available to get Chalk Party made. I wanted to give the public the first opportunity to fund it, since this project is for the public. While we have gotten lots of generous backers, and even more interest, it seems that, barring any drastic changes, we're not going to meet our funding goal. (but let's still give it a shot!)
As that has become apparent, I have spoken with a few trusted individuals, and two of them are very interested in privately funding the project. We have had informal meetings discussing what would be required, and it seems that there are some good options for getting Chalk Party built!
Please follow @ChalkParty on Twitter to get updates as this effort unfolds. I promise that I'll do whatever I can to get this platform into your hands.

Most Kickstarter projects either get totally funded, or totally not. Which category you fall into depends on how much momentum you can get.
