About this project
Can an Independent artist raise $350K in less than two months just by clarifying their vision, following their hearts and believing that what they are doing creates enough value to justify asking the public for help? We believe we can and we believe our cause - to take positive Music and Action across the USA - is worth whatever risk is involved. We're doing this to see if it will work; to see if it can actually happen. Again, we believe it can and hope a lot of people believe in what we're doing enough to contribute and help us spread the word. We've got nothing to lose and everything to gain!
After 8.5 years of successfully navigating the music industry as an independent band, State of Man's new record, IN THIS PLACE, was released nationwide via Fontana/Universal distribution on the band's own label, PolyPlat Records. This has been a result of many things, including a lot of hard work, tremendous fan support and seed money from a private investor.
Our goal was and remains to bring our brand of positive MUSIC and ACTION to the public through our Service2Humanity (S2H) Tour, joining fans and the general public in making a significant difference in local communities all over the United States. We've been from coast to coast already this year and received rave reviews as we've joined others in cities prior to concerts to volunteer for community service projects with organizations like United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Feeding America, Trees Atlanta, Points of Light / Hands On, Animal Shelters and more!
NOW, we're turning to the public to help lift our national release and the Service2Humanity Tour to new heights! YOU are our miracle and we thank you for your support.
All funds raised will help ensure the continued success of the band's independent album release and S2H Tour by keeping the band members on the road and covering all costs to promote the album (including tour support; PR; traditional, new media and Internet marketing; co-op fees; retail sales support; label management, band management consultant and more)!
