When my entire division was outsourced to India and I lost my job, I told myself something needs to be done about the outsourcing to a level that hurts the American economy and many of us who loose our jobs.  The documentary is not a statement against a global economy and reasonable outsourcing. But it is about injustices and corporate irresponsibility due to outsourcing.

I base my documentary on my own experience, the interviewees experience, solid research as a Ph.D. student in I/O Psychology, and interviews with academics in business and I/O psychology to discuss the pros and cons of outsourcing. More specifically, in the beginning of the doc outsourcing as a phenomenon, its origin and history is also explained. The main part consists of five employee interviews from different industries. We follow their story and how they are impacted after a layoff due to outsourcing.  In the last part, I am also taking a look at other countries in Europe like Germany where outsourcing is limited and the economy is strong before I provide solutions based on the interviews and experiences in other countries.

The documentary that is accompanied by a a transmedia experience (website with blog and a mobile app with further funding) is meant to expose lack of corporate responsibility which I am looking to raise money for in a separate project.
