It's that time again. The time of year when we ask you to ask not, what Verge can do for you, but what you can do for Verge. For the past two years Verge has worked tirelessly to bring you quality programming, unique special events, access to arts education from lectures, and workshops, to film screenings and hands on art making experiences. Verge has gone on the road taking Sacramento work to venues in Oakland and San Francisco sharing the talent that exists here with the world at large. We've made partnerships with other cultural organizations including the Sacramento French Film Festival, The Crest Theatre, Old Miss University, the Gay and Lesbian Center, B Street Theatre, Cap Stage, Center for Contemporary Art Sacramento, and Axis Gallery.
The facility continues to grow and expand adding three new studios this year in addition to a fine art print making facility. As we move into 2013 we are raising funds to complete the project, bringing back the high caliber art exhibitions you came to expect from us in our first location, along with an on-site classroom, and the final 17 studios bringing the total # up to 40.
In order to keep this train on the tracks we need your support. Every little bit helps to ensure that we may continue to provide quality art resources to the Sacramento community.

Getting an art center like ours off the ground is no easy task. To date Sacramento has never had a studio residency program of this scale or scope. Like all new things attracting and securing support is essential to our long term success and takes early visionaries who believe in the benefit artists make to thriving urban centers.

Building is occuring at the rate in which funds are raised. To date we've built 23 studios, which combined with our new print lab, host 32 resident working artists. Additionally, this summer we completed Sacramento's first community based fine art printmaking facility where artists from throughout the region can get access to printmaking and book resources. In 2013 we hope to complete the last of the studios and exhibition space.
