New antenna clip + shipping questions answer.
Hi Kickstarter backers,
The project has a little less than 24 hours left and its been a huge success. We expected to hit our goal within the 32 days our project ran. We didn't expect that we would hit 300%+. Which is awesome. Our schedule looks right on target for a 2nd-3rd week in Sept ship date. It even looks like the Oct. ship dates will move up to Sept as well.
We developed a new antenna bracket for the controller. Pics below:
Because of the case & circuit board design a RPSMA won't work. We came up with this solution so a U.FL antenna will work. Each controller comes with both sets of brackets. You just need to supply your own antenna and harness.
There has been some confusion over the shipping fees, an update seems the best way to make sure everyone has pledged properly. Some have asked if they should pay shipping at the end of the project. Since your credit cards will be charged when the campaign closes on Monday night. We ask that you adjust your pledge to include the cost of you reward along with the cost of shipping to your destination. Each reward has the appropriate amount mentioned. The reward plus the shipping should be the total pledge amount.

The link you posted is the cable you need. You connect one end to the XBee the other end you attach to a antenna. This antenna would work: https://www.adafruit.com/products/944 .

Sorry, the U.FL cable and antenna are not included. This is a solution we came up with in the last week for attaching a antenna to the controllers. Some of you asked how can I do this, this is what we came up with and each controller gets one.

Yeh, I didn't catch that and I didn't see the update in time to change my pledge. This is also the first project I've backed that's not included shipping. I pledge & paid $205, what can we do now?

@Drake: We agree that most projects include shipping in the reward price. We decided for shipping to be added to the reward. The rewards have been the same since the release of the project. Only a small percentage of people have forgot to include it.
@Joseph: They are Hitec gimbals so any custom made stick ends for Hitec radio's should work.

Most backers are probably used to US shipping fees being included in the total pledge price, and having to factor in out of country shipping fees. This is the first I'm noticing that I need to add 10 dollars to my pledge.
