Just pair the BlueDrone vehicle to your android smartphone or tablet, launch the custom app, and you are ready to go.  Features standard controls using the touchscreen, or even use the accelerometer as a steering wheel to drive.  All this at a great price.  

This BlueDrone product has been a personal dream for many years.  At last, the technology and manufacturing has finally come together to make this r/c concept a reality. This blend of technology and product interaction makes BlueDrone the ultimate tech-toy and holiday gift for 2011!

Summary

• Product: BlueDrone is a bluetooth-controlled r/c car that can be paired and controlled by using any android smartphone or tablet (android 2.1 or greater).  You control the car with standard touchscreen controls, or even use the accelerometer for motion-based controlling.  Enjoy three hours of battery life (3x AA batteries), 30ft range, responsive steering, and a powerful motor. Patent pending.
• Free App: A remote control android application for the BlueDrone vehicle will be available at product launch as a free download.
• Manufacturing: We have fine-tuned the BlueDrone product and can ensure a high-level of quality and an overall great experience.  The product is production-ready with molds, tooling, etc... completed.
• Production: This product requires high production costs and quantities to launch.  We are looking for some initial buy-in on kickstarter to help secure and justify production.  
• Timing: Because the BlueDrone car is brand new and awaiting production, order shipping will take approximately 8-12 weeks after the project end date.  Other project rewards will ship within 3-4 weeks after project completion.
  

Participation

You can pre-order a single BlueDrone vehicle for only $59 which includes shipping anywhere in the continental US.  No international orders at this time.  Sorry, android phone not included :)

In addition we offer other levels of participation to be a part of the BlueDrone project, including our "backer band" and our "drone" t-shirt.
