"We have backers from every continent EXCEPT Antarctica!"

                                         OR

"We have backers from every continent INCLUDING Antarctica!"

Both statements are really good, but we would LOVE to be able to say the second one!! We have had lot of leads about Antarctica but nothing has panned out thus far - so now is the time to reach out to your contacts and have them reach out to their contacts and then they can reach out to their contacts... Someone has to be in Antarctica!!!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU to all of you who have continued to spread the word. It is working! We are 107% funded with 277 backers and the donations keep rolling in! If things keep going like they are we could end up in Kickstarters hall of fame for most funded projects! That would give us wonderful publicity and look great when we start applying for grants!

We have updated our map of backers - thanks to all of you who sent us your locations! We now have added Japan, New Zealand, and Denmark. We even have backers from both Alaska and Hawaii! (but notice how sad and lonely Antactica is!)

Grady continues to practice his happy dance and hopes to be able to include the "Penguin March" in honor of Antarctica. The song suggestions for the happy dance continue to come in. Here are just a few of the suggestions we have had:

  • The Impossible Dream
  • New Math - Tom Lehrer
  • La Bamba - Ritchie Valens
  • KC & the Sunshine Band... That's the Way (aha aha I like it..aha aha :)
  •  Beat It! - Michael Jackson
  • Stayin Alive - Bee Gees
  • I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas
  • Just Dance - Lady Gaga :)
  • YMCA
  • Play that Funky Music - Wild Cherry
  • Let's Twist Again
  • Twist & Shout

"We Are the Champions by Queen or of course Grady dancing to George Thorogood's Bad to the Bone would be... what are the words I'm looking for... very memorable!"

"Do a waltz.  That will catch everyone off guard, and your lovely wife can participate."

Grady, I know someone who does hardware design work for a research company that does work in Antarctica. (Would that three degrees of separation to the south pole?) Anyway, I will continue to pursue that lead next week.
