Update #23: Want to Star in a Comic Book?
Here's just one of the cameos from Buzzboy-- first up, Joe Murray from Captain Bluehen, with text added. We've already shown this page, but I wanted you to see that we can really hit the likeness-- or Rich can, when he fixes up my art to his satisfaction! :)
Joe is one of our oldest friends in comics, and a retailer that can take on anything! His comics shop in Newark DE, Captain Bluehen Comics is super cool! It's funny, but I really didn't think to push the comic book cameos on facebook until last night-- and a few of you were kind enough to upgrade to the Cameo tier-- if you know anyone who wants their shot at comics stardom, either in the affordable $100 cameo, or as a featured character (See the $300 tier), this is their chance!

Update #22: Please come back to the Diner!
In reviewing who has re-backed us at our new Kickstarter project for the all-ages graphic novels, I was shocked to see over half of our backers did not return to back us again.
Wow.
I can only hope it's because they didn't realize their last backings were not billed, and they needed to resubmit in order to back us again.
Many are family friends. Some were Kickstarter regulars-- regardless, if you are one of those 38 people that previously backed Jamar, Rich, and I in our quest to create all ages comics and GN's, pleae, please consider doing so again.

Update #21: Come meet John in San Diego Comic-Con!
That's right-- I'll be at Booth 1231 all show, signing-- get this-- Buzzboy: Sidekicks Rule! That's right, the first of the three books is printed and on its way to SD!
What's this, you say? How can we move forward without Kickstarter being over? We always said we were moving forward regardless, that this was really a way to get the pre-orders for the books, and ensure that we could publish all 3. One thing we all agreed upon was that all the money made off the books would go to print ALL the books-- so by having BB in San Diego, and Roboy in Baltimore in Aug., and Leon in NYC in the fall, we could stagger costs, and have each book pay for the next.
Originally BB wasn't to premiere until altimore Comic-Con Aug 20-21, but some major happenings have taken place-- announcements to be made this week, at the show, that demanded one of us be at the show. Since Buzzboy was the farthest along, I got the nod.
So-- if you are a backer, or know someone going to the show, I will be happy to hand you your copy of Buzzboy this week, in advance of the Kickstarter conclusion-- why? Bcause I am that sure that this time, we will hit the magic number!

This weekend a backer from the Comic Book Diner failed (sniff) Kickstarter project said she was so happy to back our NEW kickstarter project and get some cool GN's for her kids and friends.
She thought because she backed the last one (this one) she was already rolled over into the next one.

The Comic Book Diner is a creative trio consisting of Jamar Nicholas, Rich Faber, and John Gallagher. They share a virtual comics studio, and co-host the COMIC BOOK DINER podcast on iTunes and the web.
Jamar: JAMAR NICHOLAS is an award-winning Philadelphia-based cartoonist, illustrator and educator. Beginning a career in comics in 1997, he self-published his first title The Jamar Chronicles, and has gone on to create several popular properties, most notably web-comic Detective Boogaloo: Hip Hop Cop.
Rich: RICH FABER has been a comic book artist and writer for DC Comics, and is known for his work on Steel, Green Lantern, and Titans. An award winning artist, his specialties include photo-realistic pencil illustrations, brush, pen, and ink work, as well as logo design, and portrait Illustrations.
John: JOHN GALLAGHER, cartoonist, self-publisher, and web designer. John has written and illustrated the Harvey nominated Buzzboy since 1998, and has run his own award-winning design and custom comics studio since 1994.
