We didi it! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...
Now the Sextet is putting all of our efforts and resources into the CD release weekend.
Here is what we've done so far:
1) DL Media has been retained to lead the publicity campaign. We are working with Don Lucoff who is one of the top jazz publicists in the area!
2) We have retained Michael Carlson to lead the radio campaign. Michael specializes in pitching Latin jazz to radio stations across the United States and Canada.
I will post the press release and give more updates as we move forward. For now, please look for a friendly phone call and/or email inviting you as a VIP to our CD release weekend August 6-7-8.

Play percussion festejo and landó with the band for one hour straight on the corner of 3rd Avenue and 56th St in Manhattan. COOKING PARTY. Your very own cooking lessons from the band! Sunday August 1st. First, we'll make "solterito"- a vegetarian appetizer ceviche that is radically delicious (and Huevito's specialty for cutting through hangovers). Then, learn to make "seco de cordero." Gabriel will show you how to make a perfect seco de cordero, a slow cooked Peruvian lamb dish with a yummy cilantro sauce. Finally, Laura Andrea, the most dangerous sweet-tooth in the Afro-Peruvian Sextet, will instruct you in the art of making "Suspiro de Limeña", a deliciously rich dessert from Lima... from scratch! Wine anyone? Our resident wine expert Yuri will take you shopping for a great bottle. Live lesson in New York but also available around the world via SKYPE (except for the wine shopping part).
