Jack Wolberg and Eric Weiland comprise the photo business “I LIVE IN BEAUTY LLC”. During the summer of 2012 they will be traveling across the US to redefine their portfolios.   

These two have been shooting both personal and professional work together on both small and large scale bases since they met each other at the Art Institute back in 09.

THE TRIP ::

MOAB :: We start our trip off going west from our home in Colorado and out into Moab, Utah. Moab is incredibly well known for it's arches and the incredible skies and lights that fall through them. We'll be spending seven days camping and exploring the vast scenery.

YELLOWSTONE :: The expansive wilderness of Yellowstone lends itselfs perfectly for capturing wildlife in a natural habitat. This will be Eric's third time visiting (my first), and both a first for documenting the area. We'll be spending five nights and six days backpacking, exploring, and capturing the beauty that is Yellowstone.

BADLANDS :: We will be roaming the Badlands for five days, exploring the backcountry, and wildlife it has to offer.  It will be our first time traveling through the Badlands, hopefully packing in for a night to capture the valleys of the landscape being lit by the stars.  

CHICAGO :: On the way to Chicago we will be stopping to visit a fellow photographer in Rochester, MN.  We are excited to be getting her behind the lens and photographing her maternity session.

We've budgeted for a week in Chicago and we're stoked to be meeting up with tons of family and friends. It's both our first times seeing the windy city and we'll be shown around by our wedding couple, Kate and Josh. (We're super excited to meet you guys!) 

COLORADO SAND DUNES ::  The Great Sand Dunes of Colorado are amazing.  We had the opportunity last year in June to travel here for four days capturing some incredible imagery.  We plan to unwind from our whole trip here for about three days before heading home to start the post processing of the whole journey.

Our goal is to come back from this trip and both have extensive portfolio books to lay on the desk of any client or business that’s looking to do business with us as well as create a massive new client and fan network. Our business is still in it’s baby days and we’re looking to make a name for our work.

We’ve both had extensive experience in the inner workings of the world of professional photography. The two of us have done everything from darkroom work and printing to gallery shows to studio work. This is our chance to fly out on our own and show the world our visions.

It’s honestly not about the money… Though professional photography is an incredibly lucrative business if done right, it’s all about getting into a world we love and getting our name known.

All that being said, you can’t pay for gas with 8x10’s and incredibly good looks.

CAMP SITE FEES :: $350.00
GAS and TOLLS (5000 miles) ::  ~$1000   
FOOD :: ~$550 if we can eat cheap and stay healthy.
BUSINESS INSURANCE :: ~$80-120
WEBSITE FEES :: $174.00
COSTS OF KICKSTARTER PROMO :: (we receive about half of all donations due to production costs of products offered)

Kickstarter donations will be contributing to anything from the massive amounts of gas we’re using, to helping with foods, any shelter/camp ground/nature reserve fees, or any emergencies that can occur while on the road (keep your fingers crossed).

We’re really looking to blow this out of the water here, but we'll be traveling regardless the amount of funding we receive. Our main funding will be coming from print sales along the journey as well as income from the weddings booked. Our Kickstarter page will be helping us get to where we’re looking to be a little bit faster as well as expand our long term goals.
