Hmm, after a couple of weeks of solid work in the warehouse, we’re proud to say that the last Kickstarter orders for DreadBall Season 2 shipped the end of last week!

What a pile! This was less than half the bags…

This was an all-hands-to-pumps affair, with several of us heading to the warehouse from the office to help out. (Orcy was nowhere to be seen, but we’re fairly certain we haven’t accidentally posted him to Malaysia or anything…)

Season 3 Steps Up!

All of the sculpts are done, all of the tooling is underway and we can't wait to show off all of the new models when they come back from the painters.

Incidently we had this master resin of The Praetorian MVP come into the office and, before it got shipped to Golem, we stole it off Stewart and snapped a photo to show you all:

The origins of the Praetorian is clouded in mystery – some say he was a lone spacefarer who crash landed on a Judwan-inhabited planet – others say that he travelled from beyond the edges of the known universe.

The Praetorian is a complete enigma – he does not wear armour as his skin shifts like living metal. Some have come to think of the Praetorian as a cyborg – others accept that he is just another kind of alien.

Interestingly as we explore the setting of our Deadzone game, the Praetorian's origins are becoming more clear...

He is clearly of the same design as an Asterian Cypher, a cybernetically-reanimated soldier the Asterians send into warzones. Which begs the question, what happened to the Praetorian to have led it to end up playing DreadBall? Something to do with the Judwan perhaps?

Regardless, it still carries it's Charge Glove which it uses to catch and repel the ball with some kind of gravity technology - a pretty nifty bit of kit!

The Praetorian was one of the add-on MVPs for DreadBall Season 3 and you will have another chance to get one ahead of the main shipping date.

If you're interested in trying another one of our games, Deadzone is currently being funded on Kickstarter where we've just introduced the Asterian Faction, an elite squad of soldiers built around Cyphers which follow the same design as The Praetorian... well we had to keep our sculptors and artists busy after they'd completed their work on DreadBall somehow!

Judging by the comments we’re seeing Season 2 packages turning up all over the world! Fantastic news!

The guys in the warehouse have been extremely busy picking and packing orders – a sterling effort from our team!

This means that your Season 2 models will be with you shortly. Make sure you keep an eye out for the postman!

Z’zor

Some of you have noticed that your Z’zor team bag have one extra Guard and one less Jack than what makes up a starting team. We’re sorry to say that a mold issue has caused this error.

For most of you the 2 extra figures you get at Striker should cover the missing figure in your starting line-up - however we have our manufacturer casting lots of single Z’zor Jacks and we will be shipping them out with your 3rd shipment, ensuring you get your missing figure.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Teraton Team

The Teraton Team sculpts were spotted at this year’s Salute.

These figures are from Stewart Gibbs’ personal collection and are not the official paint scheme and have not been painted by our painting studio (so be nice!)

Barring any unexpected issues, we expect to have all of the Kickstarters shipped by the end of next week – with a release date of Q2 2013 (April to the end of June effectively) we’re really proud of our design team and warehouse guys who have worked non-stop to ensure that your items start shipping day 25 of a 90 period – a phenomenal achievement given the trials and challenges of getting this number of models complete!

Furthermore, all the Season 3 models are with the manufacturer and are being tooled - so we're on track to deliver our third shipment!

So there you have it guys, part 2/3 is nearly in the post and part 3/3 isn’t far away at all. We look forwards to showing you the remainder of the models - everything from the Asterians to the prone markers - over the next couple of months!!

Afternoon all! 

Well, the Season 2 models have started showing up in the warehouse. As soon as everything's here we can start shipping them out to you. That means that the following things will be turning up on your doorstep in the not-too-distant future... 

• The four Season 2 teams: The Void Sirens (Female Team), the Pelgar Mystics (Judwan Team), the Chromium Chargers (Robot Team) and the Locust City Chiefs (Z’zor Team). (This applies to teams added to your pledge as well as the free models included as part of your reward level. Note that Striker backers who have bought the Season 1 Upgrade Pack will have 10 players for each team – the remaining 6 and the prone figures are alternate sculpts and will come later.) 
• A whole host of new MVPs: Buzzcut, Mee-kel Judwan, Anne-Marie Helder, Rico van Dien, DBR-7 Firewall, Ludwig and Gabe. 
• The Cheerleaders and Coaches. 
• DreadBall cases - we're hoping to get the customisable inlays completed by the time they ship, but if not you'll receive a download link as soon as they are. 
• Any of the following additional items that were ordered as part of your pledge: Co-Prosperity Park, Quadrant Zero Stadium, Acrylic Pitch Upgrades, Season 1 rulebooks, team dice, hex bases, DreadBall cards, Referees, decal sheets and t-shirts. 

Exciting times - we'll let you know as soon as they start shipping!

Now a quick update for any of our backers who are attending Adepticon this weekend... 

Hopefully, as dedicated Mantic fans, you'll be heading along to see us at our stand. I'm assuming a lot of you will also be taking part in the Adepticon DreadBall Tournament! Well, as a little extra, Ronnie will be holding an invitation-only "chat" between 6:00 and 7:30 on Friday night. This is a chance to quiz him about DreadBall, find out what his favourite parts of the Kickstarter campaign were, and see what else Mantic has got on the horizon. It's always easier to get secrets out of him when it's invitation-only! 

But where can you get an invitation, I hear you cry? Well, you've already got them! Just bring the DreadBall ticket you received with your Kickstarter order. 

If you can't make it to Adepticon, we'll also be at Salute 2013 with the one and only Jake Thornton. It's the biggest wargaming show in the UK, and it's happening at the ExCel centre in central London on Saturday. 

If you find yourself at either show, do make sure you drop by and say hello!

Well we hope you're all enjoying your Season 2 Rulebook ahead of the Second Shipment which is still on track to be dispatched in Q2 2013. We've had word that the models are going to be ready shortly so we're expecting delivery from our manufacturer very soon - as always, as soon as we know more we'll let you know!

In the mean time, we've had this beauty (Beast?) back from the talented folk at Golem Painted Studio - it's only Buzzcut!
