Introducing Kaye (Art Jobs) will be the follow up to my feature film Introducing Kaye (Romantic Loner) that will be shot this August at Headlands, an art residency in Sausalito, CA.  Romantic Loner is a stream of conscious, experimental musical, shot in color and black and white, where Kaye, the character finds himself soul searching through his memory,  long walks, sleepless nights, time in his studio, and his music, which will be an original soundtrack.  I will shoot this alone accept for a few scenes when characters pop up from his past and when he goes out to the night club, which I will create or find once I am at the residency.

Music from Introducing Kaye (Romantic Loner) will be performed at The Metropolitan Museum (New York) September 14th and 15th.

In the sequel 'Art Jobs', Kaye has returned home from the residency to his relationship, which is unstable.  After the break up, he finds a job at an art gallery and begins a casual relationship with his male boss.  He also has a brief sexual encounter with Lovely, a female character from my web series Melody Set Me Free during a night of drinking and smoking pot.

In all these experiences, Kaye longs for peace and love .  One night at a club, he hooks up with a young music producer and finds himself in a romantic relationship.   A few weeks later, he discovers his new love interest is his boss' estranged son.  Kaye's life is thrown into a tailspin.  The story explores sexuality, spirituality, and relationships through melodrama, music, and humor.

The funds raised will help me pay the cast and crew, locations, day to day costs such as food, travel (transporting equipment), scan disks, light bulbs, gels, backdrops, and  CDs.  In addition, I will have 200 hard copies of each soundtrack printed up to give away at screenings to promote 'Art Jobs' and its predecessor 'Romantic Loner'.

I have received support from Creative Capital, Tribeca Film Festival, and Headlands Residency, but I need a little more to complete the second film which will fulfill my vision for both..

My goal is to get the second film completed by November 2012 to submit to Tribeca Film Festival as well and set up museum screenings and performances.
