I've spent years writing, revising, and perfecting the book. It's been through the trenches with my editor and pre-release readers. The final version receives praise again and again. How Will Kickstarter Funds be Used?

I've already invested years of time as well as my own money to get the completed book where it is today, I just need a little kick. I set the fundraising goal as low as I could, to cover the bare minimum needed to release Gift of the Phoenix to the public. Funds will be used for: 

• Original cover art, by professional illustrator Kevin McCain
• ISBNs for the digital and print versions of the book
• Rewards for Kickstarter supporters

That's it.

Any funds raised beyond the fundraising goal will go toward building a decent website (which I badly need), advertising and promotion, and other project-related stuff.

Remember, Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing proposition. If we don't meet the fundraising goal, the project doesn't fund. That means no money goes toward the project and no one gets rewards and everyone is sad.
