Kickstarter is a funding platform for creative projects. It gives people who lack the funds for there creative ideas a chance to make it happen. Kickstarter requires you to set a goal for the amount of money you want to raise, and if you do not meet your goal, you do not receive any of the money.
Hood Town Productions is a unique video production company based in Hood River, OR. We created this company because we enjoy creating sports action videos and sharing them with others. We all love filming and taking part in snowboarding/skiing. This winter we want to take it to the next level. We want to create an amateur ski and snowboarding movie (with about fifteen other local riders). This is our first big project and a big step up from what we have created in the past, but we are motivated and very serious about it. Please help us make this project happen!
This film project will follow the riders through out the season, documenting all of the great events and experiences we share. This movie will consist of local Hood River riders exploring the back country, building experimental kickers, hitting local urban spots, and shredding the parks. A lot of the riding will be on our home mountain, Mt hood. We plan on riding Mt Adams and Bachelor as well. One of our bigger trips we are taking for this project is to British Columbia Canada to ride Red Mountain and White Lake resorts and back country.
The money we raise for this project will simply go towards travel expenses, upgrading camera equipment, and keeping our snowmobile running. The more money we raise the more we get to travel and ride new terrain. The more we experience the better the movie will be.
