Help me beat the Internet and make my Antarctica blog into a real book by pre-ordering it and thus raising the funds to get it made.

PRE-ORDER THE BOOK

It's quite simple: one day the Internet will crash and my blog Mikey Going Down along with everything else online will be lost. 

So I want to preserve it, and share it in a way that could, well, still be lost, but not because of some dumb computers. 

My blog is based on my time in Antarctica this past winter at the South Pole Station. I am very proud of what I accomplished there and the perspective I shared on my blog. I explored the landscape and station as best I could and tried to provide an entertaining and absurd angle on an already bizarre place. The results were::: fashion shows using the actual Pole as a mannequin, trading coffee with Russians in exchange for guns and vodka, alien sightings, Nobel prize winning science, etc.

This Kickstarter is very straight-forward. The goal is to pre-fund a book. In other words, the book won't get made unless it is wanted. My hope is that you see the value in independent book publishing and that you find something in my experience/pics/perspective worth perserving.

The book will also include a DVD with all the videos I made during my time in Antarctica including Tubin' with Mikey, Picnic at the End of the World, and Tunnelin' with Werner Herzog.
