The nice thing is you can drink as much virtual champagne as you want and not suffer the hangover! Thanks for the note and yes, we're watching the countdown to Thursday, with baited breath. We still have much to do in the days ahead, and we're very excited by the enthusiasm and support we've received from our gaming colleagues from around the world.

      Joe,
3 days to go. We put a virtual bottle of virtual champaigne in our refrigerator (I'm about to leave to Switzerland and I won't be with J when this will happen, and I'm not so sure I can access to Kickstarter from where I'm going) to cheer with you the passing of the first milestone of the Crafthulhuman adventures.
Wish you the best for everything :-)

John, It's very cool after hearing of your games and being "introduced" to Zebra, Pizza, and Wings ~ and now they'll have our pieces adorn the gaming table. I do apologize that we've not had the opportunity to complete and release the Player's Plate drawings, yet. What I can tell you is this ~ they're quite attractive, sleek in design, and not filled with "creepy stuff" so that should restore Wings' sanity.

I promise you this ~ we will always take care of those individuals who were our Backers...now and into the future. Whether that's cost savings, free shipping, or some other perk. Ironically, we cut the Project duration by 25% to get moving forward at a faster rate...and now we need more time. I can tell you that you should spend the two Clue Tokens for this Skill Check...but I certainly understand if you want to see what happens during the Encounter Phase.

    10. 000_avatar.small

Creator John GT on January 25

Now this is the tough one: the Player's Plate. Even when I play solo, I'm playing 3-4 Investigators. Of my Cult, Zebra is curious but fairly indifferent, Pizza is inclined to try one but shrinks away from the cost, and Wings would prefer the "creepy stuff" stay out of her immediate personal space. So I'm only guaranteed 1 or 2 Plates' worth of use, which would not help my OCD in solo games. And this is all still sight unseen!

This last one is gnawing away at my Sanity, Professor. I just need more to go on to decide whether to use Clues or not...

Creator Joseph Pilkus on January 24

Thank you very much! I appreciate any level of contribution as it's all going toward something that the community has asked for their gaming tables. While we have two versions which we're considering for the Player's Plate (and will eventually go before the Council for a vote), each will have a small 'tray' into which a player shall place the Investigator Sheet ~ the sliders should also prove more secure in the piece, as well. Thanks for asking the question!

      I REALLY love these!

So I'm currently trying to figure out at what level I really wanna pledge,
And see how much money I can actually spent.
but for now a measly pledge from me, I'll hope to increase it in time.

One tip/question though for the players plate, could you make it so, that an investigator sheet slides in, so you can still see the atrributes and can then place a slider that won't shoot off when you sneeze, or bump the table. That's the one thing I really despise about those sheets.

Members of the Order ~ the Artist is feeling much better and back to work (both at his full-time job AND as our designer! As I mentioned in the last Update, he should be able to provide me with pictures by week's end. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for his recovery.

Creator Joseph Pilkus on January 11

      John,

You just can't find that many copies of the Necronomicon anymore. Right...so, that's one of the things we'll need to decide in the weeks ahead. Obviously to those individuals who want many pieces, we'll ship everything to you at the same time. We'll also be "crafty" in our design, so we'll certainly look at styrofoam as an option...in that way, our Cultists can transport the pieces again to their favorite gaming places!

      Cheers,
      Joe

    21. 000_avatar.small

Creator John GT on January 11

Just thought of something: How will the pieces be packed, and I mean physically? Will they be in little boxes? Styrofoam? Flesh covers from the Necronomicon? (I'm considering how I would transport them safely to my Cult's house, since we don't play at my place.)

Thanks, MaoMao! We wanted to maintain the thematic elements and provide a solution to the players for all of the card piles. It's the balance of form and function ~ the yin and yang, if you will of our card holders and component trays.

I appreciate the kind words ~ thanks for your contribution ~ and stay-tuned for more Updates as Crafthulhu moves forward! Ia Ia Fhtagn Fhtagn!

Dumb question, but what is "Initiate Reward" that is included in every reward level?

    26. Joe%20in%20san%20fran.small

Creator Joseph Pilkus on December 17

I'll have to think about having maybe a Dark Druid Level for just the Mythos Fortress and the Graveyard...

We definitely have some ideas for the next line, including thematic Neighborhood Displays for the other expansions; a Membership Display for Silver Twilight Lodge, Sheldon Gang, etc.; and one for Injury and Madness Cards just to name a few.

    27. Missing_small

Creator Riley Crowder on December 17

Well if you made a level above Warlock..that allowed someone to get the Graveyard and the Mythos Fortress you could put that in the Inner Circle, because it would still be a pretty high bid :)

I understand the long neighborhood design being a huge shipping nightmare, but maybe if this takes off and you expand to a production line like you mentioned in the description it could be something you could develop later?

    28. Joe%20in%20san%20fran.small

Creator Joseph Pilkus on December 17

We actually started to design the nine neighborhoods in a 3 x 3 configuration ala Lombard Street in San Francisco where a road would lead to a higher and higher level, but still with the breakaway walls to expose the artistic work on the front of the cards.

If you're at all familiar with the design concept of "negative space" (I wasn't until the "Artist" explained the concept), we would have a lot of resin underneath making it completely unwieldy and extremely heavy.

We also discussed what you're talking about, but again, you're looking at a very long piece which presents a whole host of shipping challenges.

In the end, we decided to make one Neighborhood Display per deck of cards.

I haven't decided on whether the Warlock shall be placed "Inside" or "Outside" the Circle...maybe this is a discussion starter...

    29. Missing_small

Creator Riley Crowder on December 17

As much as they are neat I am not all that interested in the individual neigbhorhood peices, its just a visual thing for me. Now if it was a single long piece that could sort all the neighborhoods including expansions in (with divders being able to be inserted) that id be interested in.

What I would be interested in though is an Inner Circle option that would allow one to get the Graveyard and the Mythos fortress, to allow "The Power" to upgrade to with the stretch goals. Because I am really interested in pretty much all of your stretch goal ideas. :)

    30. Joe%20in%20san%20fran.small

Creator Joseph Pilkus on December 16

Thanks, Michael! I actually built a table recently to accommodate all of the expansions. The Crafthulhu pieces dramatically cut-down on the space required for all of the decks and you don't have to worry about them falling over!

    31. Missing_small

Creator Michael Pilks on December 16

These are awesome! I'm so glad you came back with the re-launch...I haven't used my pool table to play pool for the past four years as we're set-up to play Arkham all of the time. Good luck and can't wait to get to the Stretch Goals!

    32. Joe%20in%20san%20fran.small

Creator Joseph Pilkus on December 16

Thanks for asking, James! You can certainly increase your order now and obtain as many Neighborhood Displays as you need. In the days ahead, I may create a special Backer Level for people to obtain multiple Neighborhood Displays to include some or all of the expansion boards.

If we're Successfully Funded, we plan to expand our line to include themed Neighborhood Displays for Dunwich (3 Neighborhoods), Kingsport (4 Neighborhoods), and Innsmouth (3 Neighborhoods), as well!

Creator James C King, Dread Necromanic Weresheep on December 16

      Joseph,
Thanks for answering my questions! Greatly appreciated.
One last question - When playing with an expantion board, there are twelve neighbourhoods. Can I contribute some more to get three more neighbourhood displays?
      James

    34. Joe%20in%20san%20fran.small

Creator Joseph Pilkus on December 15

Thank you very much for visiting the site and we certainly your friends to enjoy the excitement! When I say they hold all of the expansions...they hold the cards for every one of the nine expansions (includes the revised CotDP) on the market right now. Every one of the card holders displays everything sleeved or un-sleeved, with room to spare. I'm producing another short round of clips to showcase at the top of the page, in lieu of the ones currently between our game-shots.

    35. Missing_small

Creator James C King, Dread Necromanic Weresheep on December 15

WOAH! I wish I'd seen this the first time!
This project looks fantastic, I greatly hope I'll be able to get some of my AH owning friends into the mix as well.

Just a question on scale: As you'd expect, I own all of the expansions for Arkham Horror - When you say things like "All" the mythos/neighbourhood cards, how many cards will these pieces actually hold?

      Thanks Again!
