Our Trip To China
This past month several of our new team members traveled thousands of miles across the ocean to mainland China in order to oversee and jump-start the production of the Zooka. Trips like these can be very stressful but very rewarding. When working on producing a product, there are many variables that cannot be left to chance, and therefore it is always better to do quality control in person. Any changes that need to be made can be discussed and changed within days, rather than weeks.
With that being said, our team spent a total of 3 weeks at the factory coordinating production processes in order to have the Zooka sound, and look, exactly how we designed it. This included a multitude of sound tests within the factory's sound studio, and working with the Chinese engineers to adjust and re-adjust the tooling in order to incorporate all of the internal components of the Zooka just right.
This was a huge undertaking, and involved a ton of back and forth between our team here in Portland and the team on the ground in China. But we are proud to say that the final product will blow you away.

wow that sounds great! amazing, i can't wait just got an ipad 3 and i have to cup my hand over the back where the speaker is to redirect the sound when watching movies haha. I think this thing will also be a comfortable bumper to rest on my chest...so i can't wait too haha!
