Ack! The gent who was heading up this project went away to school and left us in a bit of an organizational lurch. Stickers and meals have been taken care of, but cookies completely got overlooked! I shall send these out this week, thank you so much for the reminder.

Pictures from teh build are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/willowbl00/5033771220/in/pool-1260965@N21/

Should we have received our cookies yet? Because, you know... I never got anything, and your last update was in October.

Dude. Zero updates. And ya'll still owe me two dinners. Every other kickstarter project I've funded has sent out lots of updates with what's going on, status on projects, etc. Ya'll have had zero updates, and I still get hungry daily. What's the deal, yo.

Although I dwell a tediously long airship journey eastward, I have left a (non-essential) portion of my heart, as well as some mitochondrial DNA, in Seattle. I am proud to be the female parental unit of Liz Spain, aka Eliza the Witchhunter, steampunk bride, and Bespoke Fashion Alchemist. I hope that my contribution will help nurture the budding (and blooming and fruiting?) makers in Seattle. Love from the lonely and tiny steampunk frontier outpost on the Mississippi.

Also, for the record: I suspect that a kitchen in a maker space might be a bad idea. But I'll fund it anyway.

ok, I tossed 200 bucks in the kitty. However, I don't want any of this 'local eco friendly' meal bullshit. Think global domination meals.. kthx.

We will cook you a meal in our new kitchen! This only applies if you live in Seattle or plan to visit at some point in the future. You should totally visit Seattle anyways, so this is basically everyone. Ingredients will come from local farmers to reduce environmental impact and will be cooked by free-range local chefs.

Pledge $500 or more Pledge $500 or more

You will send us a picture of your face. We will turn that picture into a metal stencil that fits into our toasters. Every piece of toast made from these toasters will be a reminder of your kindness, generosity, and roguish good looks.

Jigsaw Renaissance

Has not connected their Facebook account.

Our Mission? To create and connect fiercely collaborative makerspaces.

So, here’s the idea: Ideas. Unfiltered, unencumbered, and unapologetically enthusiastic ideas. Ideas that lead to grease-smeared hands, lavender sorbet, things that go bang, clouds of steam, those goggle-marks you see on crazy chemistry geeks, and some guy (or girl) in the background juggling and swinging from a trapeze.

We are a collective of intellectual eccentrics, passionate about learning and our various (and yes, I mean various) arts. Walk through our door with an open mind, and you are liable to be whisked off your feet and into a project you’d never have thought up. We encourage communal learning, asking questions, and pushing that red button. Go on. Do it. If you stick around long enough, you’ll end up being the one creating projects. Which is exactly what we hope will happen.

We want you to want us in your neighborhoods. We want you to send your children to us after school to learn how to have fun self-teaching under our watchful eyes. We want to be a valuable, brag-worthy part of the community, that puts on performances and holds an open door to all interested in becoming capable of creation.
