New Basics Brass Band Makes Kid's Record!
Since 1995, New Basics has serving up our brand of sousaphone-powered party music. As the band and our fans have had families of our own, we have been asked more and more to play kids shows. We've had many folks suggest that we make a record focused on our youngest fans... kids.
And while we will clean up our act a bit, offer our spin on some children-oriented classics along with some choice originals, this project WILL NOT be the run-of-the-mill "children's cd". In fact, we hope to offer a collection of fun, funky tunes that parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, babysitters, teachers, and other caregivers will find themselves loving to listen to even when the kids aren't around.
Funding will be used to record and produce the CD.
