We're bringing back an old art gallery in a new way. Lydia Gallery will be a revamped gallery in the basement space of the Heirloom.
At one time the basement space of the Heirloom Arts Theatre was an art gallery for a variety of artists to show their work. At present time, this space is simply a void. This isn't simply a project to take up some time, then move on to the next thing. The ultimate goal with this project is not just to renovate and open an art gallery, but to make this gallery more than that -- an art gallery that emphasizes the importance of community in the art community.
Danbury itself is working on renovating, and revamping the downtown area in general. This is the ideal time for us to take on the renovation, and reopen this gallery. This gallery could be the beginning of Danbury's own renaissance!
